Hey there, I have to agree with Stacey's endorsement here. I picked up Avril's CD Let Go last Sunday and it is incredible. I can't say it's the best ever cause personally I have to listen to it at least 100 times before I could consider it best ever material. But top to bottom it has plethora of awesome songs. For me it's one of those CD's that the music on it is so good that the vocals aren't necessary. At the same time her voice adds a dimension to the music that takes it to another level. There are so many hooks just because of her voice alone on the CD. There are audio clips on her website http://www.avril-lavigne.com. If you feel like listening to her sound before deciding to buy the CD you can do that. Stacey's description of her music seems pretty accurate so I won't add too much. I'd compare her to maybe a female Sum 41, or a not as poppy Michelle Branch. For what it's worth I don't consider the term poppy derogatory. If you do, then consider her a more rockish Michelle Branch. =) Back to bigger and better things like outsmarting Jewel. I would like only to recoup my costs and am not seeking profit on them, thus I am selling them for $52 each, which is comprised of the face value plus the various ticketmaster fees I paid. I just played the Outsmart game and beat Jewel 1430 to 900. (isn't it funny how she ALWAYS scores 900?....ok not really) Anyway, I got every single question correct, and then answered all 7 of those last ones before the guy even finished asking them...and got all those correct too. Jewel only missed one question in the first round, that being the one regarding Britney Spears which I found to be quite amusing. And then she ran out of time in one of those final round questions. I don't see how anyone could score better than 1430, but if anyone does then post it here! Only if you answer the questions at the end quicker could you get more. (they give you an additional 10 points for every second that was left on the clock at the end of answering those final 7 questions). So far I think I have the high score though.
