That does not mean you cannot be critical of that entity or some things, it means to do it in a VERY tasteful way. This IS a discussion list, but discussion MUST be civil. If anyone comes remotely close to being as _harsh_ as Sean was in his post the other day I will have to take some appropriate action. if things get out of hand I may have to take some action to end it. Please, please, please follow these policies. Also, we CANNOT EVER tree Jewelstock tapes 1 through 3 again. It does not mean people cannot request on list for someone to make them a copy. It does not mean someone cannot offer a few/handful of copies. THAT is encouraged. It means no one can tree it on the list in ANY format nor make an offer of many copies. There are reasons for this dating back to a promise made six years ago to follow the wishes of Jewel and her mother when they gave us the JewelStock tapes to tree on this list. So, to avoid any confusion I guess I will have to define "few/handful" by a value I am comfortable with. So I will define it as six. Please keep any offerings to make copies of JewelStock for someone to a total of six sets or less. Yes it is arbitrary, but I am just doing my best to fulfill that promise made to the J-team. Now in defense/more criticism of the Record Companies. This is a Capitalist Society and they can make as much money they want, however they want so long as its legal and in some ways not. Yet they do not realize that "mainstream" markets do offer better sales but they are extremely fickle markets, and change rapidly. Catering to the Hardcore fan would offer a slower growing, but much more stable and longer lasting market. But i see a number of facts that are not giving me the idea that Jewel is helped!! * First topic : Nobody gets connected with messages In this messageboard i thought always that we had a common goal , a drive, passion / interest in jewel , the singer from alaska. but when people get critical, they get burn outs with no feedback. If fans do say their opinions than this opinions need to provoke something ! It is a statement for not being happy with how things going concerning Jewel. The Jewelforce need to be found back again on this forum * Second topic : Feedback / ideas are always ignored I feel it very depressing if you post messages to change a way to get jewel more on the international music map, that nobody says what a great idea! Nobody connect this thougts and ideas to realistic plans. We are here discussing jewel, and we have concerns about how jewel is promoted in Europe. Take from me i am a big big dedicated fan, and i am doing all i can for Jewel. But sometimes i have the idea that i speak to walls. That is not good for me, and also not for the people who wants to see jewel be succesful! * Third topic : You have to call radiostations to request Break me! In Europe we need to get break me played on radio, we all have to be aware that we have only got from now two weeks before jewel fly to europe and just from now four weeks when jewel will leave again europe.. That is a very serious negative story, this list always was the first resource to chat about jewel and to share your stories about jewel. i feel guilty for not posting much, but i do feel that it is time to get that list running again! That gives more interaction with fans in the usa not knowing / awaraness of our messageboard, so send in all your jewel stories from the EUROPEAN may tour!
