She is currently in last place with 27 percent behind No Doubt and Raphail Sadik. Everyone go to VH1.com scroll down and click on the Fresh link. You can vote for the video there. I think Jewel definatly needs all the support she can get with this video and song. I don't see anywhere that it says you can vote as many times as you want, in fact, it seems to that it only counts your vote once anyways, I just tested it to see, and went back and forth a gazillion times voting for Jewel and it had absolutely no effect on the percentages. It's probably a waste of time to vote multiple times (at least in one day) and might actually do some harm - it's possible (even likely) they are logging your ip everytime you vote, they're likely to get pissed off that some Jewel fans are obviously just trying to stack it up.... ~ Sandy ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 15 Apr 2002 15:30:37 -0400 From: Adina Friedman Subject: Re: [EDA] request Break Me on VH1 fresh I don't think that's true. No offense, but logically - do you think if you voted for 10 minutes straight, it would only go up 4%? There aren't that many people on the site voting that it would take that long for it to go up... mostly likely the 4% it went up in the time you were voting was from other EDA's who received the same email and got going and voting themselves.... I sat and clicked it back and forth, for 3 minutes straight, and it only took me maybe 3 secs each time to vote.... that's 60 votes in 3 minutes, and it did not go up *at all*... there just aren't that many people voting at the exact same time to make 60 votes not move the percentage point... so this actually just furthered my point...our votes obviously only count as one no matter how many times you do it, which isn't surprising, because most polls are set up with cookies so people can't screw with the *real* results by voting multiple times. ~ Sandy ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 15 Apr 2002 06:37:30 EDT From: JewelWilcher@aol.com Subject: [EDA] Austin tickets Bonjour, I just received my tickets for the Austin show at the Backyard today and I didn't get the tickets that were designated for me online. Jewel wanted to record everything with a live band, rather than lay down the tracks seperately and do her vocals seperately, because she thought the energy of the band comes through much better. She said she's not all that great with guitar, she wanted to capture her vocals at their best, and be able to concentrate just on them instead of being distracted by trying to get both the guitar and the vocals right. ~ Sandy ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 15 Apr 2002 16:55:29 EDT From: Rasputina11@aol.com Subject: Re: [EDA] Why has Jewel stopped playing guitar on her albums? Some states have laws that make it illegal and others don't. Ebay follows those same rules. If you do some searching in their guidelines or rules you will find the list of states. I deleted my e-mail that had the link otherwise I would just provide you with it. Just thought I would let you know that not all states are illegal. This means there should still be good seating left for anyone who didn't get them from the pre-sale when regular tickets go on sale :P As far as eBay is concerned, as far as I know, it is against their policy (and possibly illegal) for people to sell tickets through their site at higher than regular price, so if you do see any up there, notify eBay's people, and they will stop the auction and keep those people from making big money through eBay off the tickets... ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 15 Apr 2002 18:07:32 EDT From: DixieJewelAngel@aol.com Subject: [EDA] yay guess what...
