When I first heard what it was about, I was very surprised and curious to see how it would fit with the song. Then, I saw it on the computer and I didn't really feel anything about it. It's probably because the picture is so small and blurry. Anyway, I just saw it on VH1, and I felt completely different about it. There's something scary and sad and beautiful about it. And when you are watching, the song and the video fit together and completely connect. And if you haven't seen them together, it may be hard to find the connection and how the lyrics somehow can go perfectly along with what the video is trying to say. I can't really see how anyone can hate the video unless they are disappointed with it. With this video, Jewel is able to transform "Break Me" into a song not just about romantic love, but about all love. And by having all the many different types of people change into her, she is showing how much alike we all are, despite the racial and religious differences. The same human feelings are in all of us and by each different person changing into her, she is showing the connection between all humans. Using the song "Break Me" with the idea of the video kind of shows the vulnerability of all humans. I wasn't sure how I would feel about this video, but it is more than about a visually interesting video to watch with different atmospheres and cool effects. There was actually a message in this video. I also love how she took a simple song that may have not seemed that profound before and showed that her words can have a deeper meaning. I have always loved the song, but now I respect it more.
