So Elizabeth and I have joined forces. SO far, we have 34 requests for shirts, which to me is great since it hasnt even been 24 horus since i posted last night. What we are going to do is this. I will be accepting DESIGNS, at EDAShirts@aol.com until 11pm EST April 9th. I know a few of you mailed melissa a design or two, please send those to me so i can post them... you could go down in EDA history ;-p IF you have a design PLEASE mail it to that addy. A web page will be created, displaying the potential designs, and then voting will be held until 11pm April 12th. Then, the votes will be tallied and a winner will be displayed. At that point we will be taking orders for shirts. I am going to ask the company i am working with about ordering a few tanks, in addition to the t's. (maybe even babyt's for amy as well ;) That i will let you know about as soon as i know something (Tomorrow hehe) PLease continue to write edashrits@aol.com if you are still INTERESTED in purchasing a shirt. Again, this does not mean right this second... but if you would be interested ;) I will write tomorrow afternoon, and give everyone a break down of the prices as well so you can decide then about funds, and types of shirts. I just wanted to get this out, so everyone knew where we stand right now :) YAY! Also, if anyone has copies of the old t-shirts, could you please mail them to me? Thanks everyone! I still can't believe no one was interested and responded to Melissa's numerous posts about the shirts, and now y'all ARE interested. Then there were those of you who told Melissa to stop forcing the idea... but when two people make one post each out of the blue... suddenly "GREAT IDEA!! EDA T-SHIRTS!! COOL!!!" Almost like "why didn't ahyone think of this before?" And to those of you who replied to me yesterday and said "Melissa didn't even have a design, so how COULD people be interested?" Y'all don't have a design either! You're having a design contest! (Which was Melissa's idea from the get-go) Oh, and just a bit of advice.... you would make it MUCH simpler for the company to just make T-SHIRTS instead of saying "okay... 10 T-shirts... 3 white ones, 7 blue ones. 1 sweatshirt.... 2 tanktops.... a baby-t...." One more thing. To anyone who wants T-shirts. E-mail Melissa with your interest. Look, a few of us WERE interested when Melissa posted about the shirts. I certainly did not and am not ignoring the fact that Melissa wanted to do the shirt thing. The design I made was for her "contest." I was bummed that nothing came out of it, so I thought "well, perhaps we would get more of a response if we just presented a design (like Rich did before) and then said, 'here it is, do you want it?'" I do have a design (as linked in my very first email), but Amanda had a design too and felt that it would be more fair if we had a contest that would allow those who also submitted designs to Melissa to participate. HOwever, the deadline is tomorrow. We set it early so that we can just get it done fast and over with so that there's no dawdle time. I don't know why people are responding more. But I think when there is something concrete to look at, people respond more. Amanda had also spoken to Mike about this a while ago for advise on how to approach this matter. I for one, since Melissa announced that people didn't respond, had wanted to just send my design to the list but didn't have time until now. <> I already took care of this in the first part. Again, I really am not trying to undermine anyone. I really really wanted the shirt thing to go through. I submitted my design to Melissa and anxiously awaited the results, but nothing came of it. I also kept in contact with her during the process and still now. Please, this shirt thing is supposed to be positive.
