She played a lot of nice songs I won4t walk away Standing still Do you want to play Hands Break me Solo songs were great songs and she asked me to remember a song a boy needs a bike, but i didn4t knew the words, i felt ashamed as being one of her biggest jewelfans in europe, i have to learn these words fast now of songs !! she also played little sister, cold song, cowboy waltz ! than the band came back for Love me just leave me alone Everybody needs somebody sometime New wild west who will save your soul and She sang angel standing by as encore... And she came back having put her shoes of and sang acappella the song new one i suppose i never heard it the other woman... she signed this way cd4s and she said to me that she read my little valentinecard in which i wrote that i would go to see her in amsterdam and london later this month..... take care, Michiel a dutch jewelfan one of the happiest cause i have finally had the chance last wednesday to get a photo of myself and jewel, i was always too shy to ask and now i can also remember a moment with jewel for myself! How cool is that? OH MY GOD! i must tell you this AMAZING, and quite ODD story about humphreys!!! i just remebered that i wanted to share this with the list. ill keep it short. or ill try. ok... about 2 weeks ago i was at school at my painting class. my teacher was giving a demonstration to the beginning students, so being in the advanced portion of the class, i got to go on a break. so im walking out of my class to the restroom and this girl is walking up behind me and i hear her very quietly humming to herself. the first thing that pops into my mind is jewel, i couldnt hardly hear her, maybe it was just the pitch of her voice or something. so i wanted to hear it better, so i slowed down to get a drink of water and she got closer. but i still couldnt make out what she was singing. so i thought oh well and headed into the bathroom, well, she followed right behind and i heard her singing "they thought blueprints were too sad so they made them yellow..." painters of course! so i spun around and said "thats a GREAT song!!!" she said "oh, im sorry i have her stuck in my head still, i just saw her in concert." of course she has no idea to the extent of my jewel fandom, or that im even a jewel fan beyond knowing that song. so the first thing that goes into my head is that jewel hasnt done any conecerts recently... so either she saw her in san fransisco at the alice radio show, or... HUMPHREYS!! by this time id forgotten why i was in the bathroom to begin with im so excited! i wait for her to finish... as she opens the stall i cant contain myself and i say "you saw her in concert... where?" she replies "in san diego at a place called humphreys..." when i interupt "BY THE BAY!!!" she says "yeah!!" i yelled "oh my god ME TOO!!!" i was like what night? she said sunday the 19th... i said ME TOO! now this was wierd... but it got wierder... she screamed OH MY GOD YOU WERE THE GIRL AT THE GAS STATION!!!! (to fill you in... after the concert we stopped to get gas and this girl and her dad came in behind us. they recognized my friend and i from the show and asked if they could see the jewel guitar pic that we had asked the stage guy to give us off of jewels mike stand... we made a scene i guess hahah. so i showed them.) so i yelled... OH MY GOD NO WAY!!! YOURE THE GIRL FROM THE GAS STATION!!!!! so she said WOW! well, my name is lisa! laughing histerically i yelled OH MY GOD NO WAY! my name is A-lisa hahahahahah!! we were laughing SO hard!! we sat in the bathroom talking about jewel and the edas for like 20 mintutes! she really wants to be an eda and she knows who we are and everything, she knows how to sign up, but she said her computer sucks too much. but she said shes gonna join when she gets a better computer. but what are the chances that us two people who live like in the middle of nowhere small towns in northern california would end up at the same tiny jewel concert in san diego 12 hours from our homes!!! IT WAS AWSOME! jewel brings us all together! ok thats my story, sorry it was so long... i tried to keep it as short as i could hahaha alisa - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Join the worlds largest e-mail service with MSN Hotmail. I CANT WAIT!!! and i would definately pay the full price for the concert just to see that performance! nothing would be greater than the anticipation of knowing that the concert could close with TNWW and WWSYS back to back!! It's been done many times over, one I can think of right off is Bon Jovi "Wanted Dead or Alive" where it shows how hard touring is and stuff. Not to mention, Shakira's video was more straightforward, touring with her band and thinking of the boyfriend while Jewel's video was a bit more surreal with the whole dancing in the desert and Ty constantly disappearing. I don't think Shakira is ripping off Jewel any more than Jewel is ripping off Bon Jovi. I hope I can get that ARTE channel - can any of the German EDAs tell me if it's a cable channel or a normal channel that I should be able to recieve? I'm crap with German stuff. But yeah, I'm so glad she tried to play Boy Needs A Bike. I can just imagine her in her hotel room practising it saying 'I need to remember this for TOM!'... Well maybe not, but I wish I was there in Berlin to remind her of the lyrics! She also played Cold Song which I requested at the end of the Hamburg show, but she said she already had the wrong guitar and played Angel Standing By. So maybe I inspired her to play that, too :). I think I'm becoming Jewel's muse. Sorry for sounding pathetic and all... But I'm just excited at the prospect of seeing Jewel in May and hoping that she'll play Boy Needs A Bike. The chart run for Standing still is finally coming to an end. The single fell on the hot 100 from 25 to 32. You can see this drop majorly in the album sales too. It droped from 29 to 40. Hopefuly This way the single will do better in the charts and bring the album back into the top 20-where it belongs ===== Yahoo!
