Subject: [EDA] the videos Regarding the issue of whether or not Britney *may* have copied some of the parts of her new video from Jewel's SS video....I finally saw the "new" video everyone has been talking about from Britney on MTV. And guess what, it's not even new! That video has been finished since mid November. Had I known this was the video in question, then I would have replied much sooner about this. Chances are that Britney shot that video right around the time SS was shot, or very shortly after (not nearly a month though). And those segments you are seeing with the car, etc, are scenes from her movie that was shot months before Jewel ever began making her video. So if anything, Jewel took some ideas from Britney's movie. Granted she probably didn't, but I think it's funny how people accuse others of things without knowing all the facts. Alot of videos share similar scenes...that's just how it's always been, and I'm sure will continue to be. It was about 3 minutes worth of footage. A VERY short interview before she started to sing. Her guitar player played acoustic behind her. (the one who usually plays acoustic guitar). On the Weekend Today show this morning (not Saturday), she sang O Holy Night once again, and also Winter Wonderland...this time being back by the same guitar player on acoustic, and Steve George on keyboards. No interview. It definitely looked as if it was spliced into the rest of the show, since it was. Not a very smooth transition. Has anyone caught her Def Poets segment on HBO yet?
