I don't know what video Juel looks best in, but my favorite video is YWMFM, the Sean Penn version. Ah... maybe it ties with DSL. I like that one too. I don't know, I think the Sean Penn version was really funky with the remixing of the song, and I feel like there's a vintage quality to it. I like that they're showing old movies and Juel's singing about her loneliness. I guess I don't like the second YWMFM because I don't get it. I don't get what's happening in the video. All I remember is blue, blue everywhere. Anyways... What are your favorite love songs? I'm asking because the two lovey-dovey love songs on This Way are the songs I like least--that is, Break Me and This Way. (Though, yeah, a lot of the songs are about love, like You're In Cleveland Today--gosh, I looooove that song!) They really rub me the wrong way. I don't-- AHH! What am I doing? Out, negavt--negativity, be gone! Chop, chop, I don't need you ruining this list! Anyway, my favorite love songs: Butterfly, by Crazy Town Yellow, by Coldplay Tu, by Shakira (!!) You Really Got a Hold on Me, by the Miracles (but I like the Beatles version--I also like their cover of 'Til There Was You) I Say a Little Prayer, by Aretha Franklin (but I like it the way they sang it in My Best Freinds Wedding--LOL) Morning Song and YWMFM, by Juel Truly Madly Deeply, by Savage Garden Going Away to College, by Blink 182 (it's cute) Blue Moon, by... er, is it the Marcells? I like the version from Grease though. I Try, by Macy Gray Something and And I Love Her, by the Beatles Of course there's more...but I don't want to bore you. I want to hear what y'all have to say. ===== ~*Liz*~ the Bronx Angel HARMLESS & SHAMELESS PLUGS (if you can, check 'em out!) Don't you ever feel like you're wasting your time? You've already proven to me and everyone that you don't know how to read, don't DO what you ask others to, yet you expect some sort of sympathy? Give it up. I do believe you are indeed the number one trouble make around here, as proven by all the mails I've been getting wishing and hoping you would quit bugging people! But as I've tried to tell you time and time again, I'd be more than happy to loan you a clue or two if I had some extras, but I don't, so, sorry. You're on your own with that. Take both words and see which one applies to you and which one applies to Derrick. What is your issue with this guy? Did he kick your dog? To go from terrorists to Derrick in one fell swoop is just about the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Maybe you could develop the next UPN sitcom with your style of writing and vivid imagination. Please don't make it about Derrick though, wouldn't get good reviews from critics like you, although it may get good ratings from people watching it, loving to hate it, like you as well. Just feeling a little '80s tonight I was scrolling down all your posts tonight and I started wandering and thinking..everyone here is so different than the other, so many opinions, so many words defending your ideas and thoughts, it's like on this list everyone let's it all out and talk about things related to Jewel , but with a twist, I have done it too. I guess , since this thing doesn't talk back we feel very comfortable in expressing ourselves, our thoughts, our views on music, artists...etc.It's a great outlet, we get to converse and sometimes fight with people who we don't know who they are at all. If we were all to get together physically and started to talk, I don't think we might have the same conversations we have here. Everyone here has something or two in common. In my eyes, 1st) we all got here because we heard Jewel, were touched, wanted to find out a little bit more about her and voila! , we ended up here with more that we bargain for. and 2) If you like Jewel, you either like music a lot, guitar playing, or poetry , or arts in general, or humanitarian ideals, or all of the stuff that Jewel might represent for you and that you identify with. What I'm trying to get at is that is cool to express yourself and let your ideas out, but it's cooler to tolerate one another. I get irritated by a lot of people everyday, either at work, driving, shopping, on this list,etc..But we have to coexist, we have to tolerate, otherwise we become angry and start getting ugly inside. Doesn't mean that you can let someone disrespect your ideas, yes you can stand up and defend what you think it's right , but when it comes to stuff that has a broad range of opinions and passionate feelings , such as religion, politics, and other people's tastes, likes or dislikes, I think we could let it slide a little bit, since there's a lot of stuff we might not know about whatever subject it's we are defending or attacking or by the person itself and where they're coming from. Sorry, just felt a little philosophical tonight, now I shall go and forget about everything with some friends, beers and some laughter..life's too short, pretty soon monday again. . good weekend to all.
