She have a passion and a powerful voice that delivers insightful and heartfelt lyrics about different things, like abortion, death, aids, cancer, homosexuality, hate, racism, and many others. But have you listen to the new album? You just heard the single, and saw the interview and you're dooming her? Please. I would be happy to translate every single song out of the 4 past-albums, if you want me to, so you can have a more realistic Idea of who is Shakira, and what she is trying to achieve with her music, cause it's obvious you don't have a clue. She has the voice, equally powerful like Jewel's, she have the look, the money (cause hell she was rich before making the English album), she have the fame (cause she is and will be the queen of my continent -that being Latin America in case you wonder), so...she don't have to worry that much, She is doing the album, just because she wants to, not because someone's forcing her to do it. So, how about some respect for her talent? And as a final comment, she said that in the interview because she found a bit of the inspiration out of there, why did Gabriel Garcma Marquez translated "100 Aqos de Soledad" (100 Years of Solitude)?? Ask yourself that...don't know? TO REACH MORE PEOPLE -since the original language is spanish-, TO DELIVER HIS MESSAGE LOUD AND CLEAR TO THE ENGLISH SPEAKING COMMUNITY. So she got the idea, from that, and many other things (MANY) not because she is comparing the quality of the book with the quality of her album. Do you know what's analizing something before making critics? No? Thought so. And yes the book is amazing, and inspirational, and powerful, I've read it more than 10 times, and still shocks me. My sister, as I , loves candles an she always has them around the house lit, of course when she's there, never leaves them unnatended. But on sat , me a couple of friends were there and she has this lavander candle on in her room. This candle has dry lavander incrusted in the wax, smells delicious, but when it burned out started a fire..we were in the living room and she went to her room to get something, we heard "fire !" we were like, "Uh? what is she saying", "fire , fire fiiiire" I ran and she's stading paralize in front of the fire screaming ..
