The first one is a poster of her at the 97 american music awards with the purple top and they photoshopped it where she has perfect teeth!! The second one is i think from one of the mtv awards shows performing. The last one is a YWMFM poster. It is of her with big blue walking along a cobble stone street. The audio has saved me much time and has put my daughter to sleep many nights. She loves the stories, espescially the lightning storm while riding in the jet and the eskimo ice cream story. In addition, because of the many stories of Jewel's, Ciara has learned many things, such as a "canoe" from the song Adrian. We took her and showed her what a canoe is...i know this sounds silly but it was very interesting to her. She thinks she wants that eskimo ice cream. She loves the story of Jewel riding to school on horse and buggy and the horse with the bells. We bought a book all about Alaska and have studied about indians and eskimoe's. Someday we plan to vacation in Alaska and let our kids experience that wonder. We all have learned so much from Jewel. I think Jewel pronounces her words so precisly and Ciara picks up on this as well, and she works on pronouncing her words correctly....this is all good learning for her. The story writing and trying to write poems are inspirations she got from Jewel. Jewel has inspired her in so many ways that it would take hours to tell about it all. As far as the singing, i know Ciara has a talent...god given talent, but it all went un-noticed until that first Jewel cd and then she started singing along and just sang with Jewel over and over and over and people started noticing her own singing ability. The yodeling is another fun packed event in my household...so many laughs we have had!!! Then the karaoke started and we just have the time of our life going with family and friends to watch all kids sing and its so much fun!!! What i am trying to say is that really there is so much more of Jewel besides her singing , for my family anyway. Lots of people have a hero in there life. Jewel is my daughters hero...and i am proud of it. In my opinion, it would be just wonderful if Jewel would write some books (w/audio) for kids and include some children songs as well. Or even her mom...they are both very talented and lived a life that my kids find much interest in. We are proud to be "Everyday Angels!!" Tell me what would be the right plot for a film script Jewel would like ... c'mon, EDAs there's a creative task for you all... I'm proud to be a very loyal EDA after so many years... I live in ECUADOR (southamerica)... some of you know that already.. I thought it would be good if I write down some of my opinions... here I go... First of all... There was people bashing Jewel recent efforts... it kind of depress me a little bit... but it is ok to have all those different ideas about her work... it's what the list is all about.. I'm not a follower who praise her but I think she has a good star above her... everything she touches is sorrounded with good vibes (even her sad songs)... that what's life is all about... it changes... it wouldn't be interesting anymore if it was't like that... I like the "not pollished" feel of POY and I understand why several EDAs love it... but we can't ask for POY II: The Angel Revenge... Jewel just said she loved doing THIS WAY record... and several critics said it was one of her best effort so far... c'mon!!! Rolling Stone slammed 3 and a half stars to her CD... I don't think they were bluffing when they did it. She can't get back to be the naive 18 year old girl.. get real!!... she enjoys what she is and what she does now... her music is evolving... let's support her changes... changes are good... sometimes... Remember that almost 40% of her income is going to her charity work so let's WORK in both ways coz it seems EDAs forget about it... we are making her NUMBER ONE... at the same time we're helping her foundations to aid a lot of people with lots of needs worldwide... Is there any chance of get Jewel touring Southamerica???... some guys have asked about this before... I'm going to U.S. or Germany next year... it would be good to know if she'll be around locally... so I could hold this up for a while... The notion that before you say something you have to qualify it by saying, "Well, in my opinion..." is ridiculous. I hate people who do that. All it means is that you're not conifdent in the thought you are expressing. And, when somebody replies to something I say by saying, "Well, that's just your opinion," all it does is make me realize that what I've said is that much more true and it scares the person. Saying "that's just an opinion" is the result of fearing the truth and disagreeing with something usually only on the grounds that you don't WANT to believe it. Secondly, the people who say stop criticizing Jewel. As someone already responded, there are far too many people on this list who kiss her ass over every little thing she does. We need a few logical, thoughtful, rational people to put that all in perspective, people who are a little more world knowledgeable and cynical and see through a lot of the promotional wool that the so-called J-team pulls over our collective eyes. Does being critical of Jewel make one any less of a fan - No! If anything it makes you more of a fan because you know she has the potential to be superb and, as a fan, you are disappointed when she settles for mediocrity. No fan of ANYTHING should tolerate mediocrity. Be it a musician, a sports team, an author, a filmmaker, an actor, a co-worker, whatever. Being critical of the mediocre, commercial, superficial and subpar is a good thing, a sign of being a thinker, not just a passive person who goes with the current.
