Subject: [EDA] MTV tonight This may have been on the Jewel calendar, but I don't remember seeing it so if anyone didn't already know, MTV is going to be airing a repeat of Jewel's unplugged appearance, I believe from around 1996 or 1997...kinda old so it's pretty cool if you didn't catch it the first time around. It was before Spirit came out, I know that much. So sort of old school Jewel I guess...without a band too. Also, it may be a little late now, but MTV has been airing some cool stuff tonight...unusual for them. They had the Alicia Keys Rock n Roll Hall of Fame concert just on awhile ago, and now the Music in High Places show is on, which I rarely see air anymore. Collective Soul is the band on this show. Then later they are airing an unplugged (not sure whose on that one), then the one with Jewel comes on at 1:00am EST. So anyway, MTV will actually have about 3 hours or so of cool shows on without hip-hop and rap videos. Seems like that's all they play now. I really don't care much for Alicia, but I have to admit that the show was pretty enjoyable...I can appreciate good talent and entertainment in many forms so I guess that's why I liked it. I'd never buy her CD, but she kept me tuned in the 1/2 hour it was on. The band had a good sound and you can tell they're all really good musicians.
