This is regarding the August 19th concert at Humphrey's. I have a question for those of you that were there. I'm listening to the CD and right after SIBTW, (I think) Jewel is talking about how the cameras are disconcerting and then she says thank you to some girls and tells them they very nice and what the did took guts. Who were these girls and what did they do for Jewel? Just mere curiosity, that's all. I'll provide a lot of information in tomorrow's JeweLink, but I will not be answering any email questions for at least a week, so please consult Jewel's calendar for anything you may need to know. Jewel is returning to Australia next week and theres a lot more TV, radio and media planned. All that info, including broadcast times for a few major Australian TV programs on Monday and Tuesday, will be added to the calendar by tomorrow night. One thing that will not be addressed in the next JeweLink, that many of you have written me about this week, is the issue of a domestic release of the "Standing Still" single. There are no current plans to release this domesticly and that has not changed, regardless of what you may have heard. I did hear about a plan to test market a "pay-to-download-the-single" by some online vendors, but an actual commercial release is not planned here in the states. Also, to all the EDA fans of Cindy Lee Berryhill, great news! After a difficult 30-hour labor, Cindy Lee gave birth to her first child, Alexander Berryhill-Williams, at 3:02 am on Tuesday, October 16, 2001. He weighed in at 7 lbs, 6 oz at birth and is very healthy. Take care, MrBB PS. To Jason & Sonja: Lost your email address. I saw her new video once today on MTV, once on Vh1 "Back 2 Back", and twice on the College Television Network. Yeah and the Sean Penn YWMFM was a bonus. I wasn't sure if this single would take off...but now it looks like its getting mad circulation. I'm working on chords for 'The New Wild West'. does anyone have the lyrics? i should have the chords done tomorrow when i have time to listen to the song. if anyone is interested...email me privately...i posted 'Jesus Loves You' tabs last week. if anyone wants those again, you have my email adress. Hey Angels, I was wondering what happened to these songs: Tenderness, You Are My Sunshine, Adios Amigos (The Last Rodeo), Electric Qualude. I figured since Tenderness was played @ Nashville that it would be on the album, I also thought since Adios Amigos (The Last Rodeo) was Jewel's first piano song that it would get my play and possibly on the album or atleast a bonus feature. Does anyone know what these songs are? Thanks, take care, and God Bless America! I didn't nothing about that like "she is coming now here in Japan!" notes on radios or TVs. this is sooo strange, isn't it? hahaha :) well, there's this site for her new album This Way which Japanese warner guys made, but no infos on promotion tour at here. It makes me very anxious. here's what I got--she'll be on the one live radio broadcast from J-WAVE. it will take a place on Nov. 4th, I assume that she'll flying back again after the 2nd time Aussie promotion. I ask you the question again, Is she already here? They have audio previews of Standing Still, Everybody Needs Someone Sometime, Break Me, This Way, Love Me Just Leave Me Alone, and New Wild West. I think they're a little temperamental, as is everything on that site, but give it a try. Steve ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 18 Oct 2001 22:28:41 EDT From: Fredsteve@aol.com Subject: [EDA] Chart Updates Hey Some more Chart Updates. Gavin Airplay Charts: Hot Adult Contemporary #17 (last week: #21) Spins: 1223 #1 on Hyperactive (3rd week running) Adult Contemporary #34 (debut) Spins: 140 Top 40 Mainstream: #45 (not yet on the Top 40 - #5 Chartbound) Spins: 760 Triple A Rock: #26 (last week: #29) Spins: 162 Billboard: Adult Top 40: #20 (last week: 23) AIRPOWER for this week Hot 100 #104 (last week: #111) I know this doesn't make sense. There's a chart called the Bubbling-Under-the-Hot-100 Chart, and it lists songs that are really close to making it onto the Hot 100 (essentially songs #101 - 125). Jewel debuted on that chart last week at #11 and rose to #4 this week. She should debut on the proper Hot 100 next week. She's climbing really fast in the Adult Top 40 categories... She debuted last week at 23 on Billboard's Adult Top 40, and is this week's Airpower (I think that means highest increase in spins). Pop will be a slow climb, but hopefully she'll just keep increasing. She's being added to the play lists of stations each week. She got 11 new stations this week (9 last week, 25 the week before and 48 the week before that) Call your local pop radio stations and request the song. Pop is the KEY to the Billboard Hot 100, because it's where the biggest audience lies. steve ------------------------------ End of jewel-digest V6 #484 ***************************
