Michelle B. was great on Leno tonite, her eyes are so piercing , shes also going for that hey i woke up and didnt touch a brush look" her performance was great too ..so yeah anyways pps. Subject: [EDA] TRL relived Ok I saw it tonight. Haven't seen anyone post *this* yet, so.....how many others noticed the slight southern drawl in her voice? I guess living in TX has had some effect on her. Rowdy, did you notice this, if you saw it I mean? Other than saying 'yall a couple times, her overall enunciation and pronunication had a completely different sound to it...it's the first time I've heard her say a sentence or two since she started living in TX for extended periods of time. Also, someone did mention her tummy, but not in the way I would have thought...lol. I happened to notice a little "pooch" there. More than before also. Kind of odd that her face and overall body looks a little thinner, yet her tummy had a pooch. Hmmm. That top wasn't helping matters either...not sure if she picked that out or not, but I liked her attire on Letterman better. And everyone, give Dave a break. He didn't even have to say ANYthing about her new CD if he didn't want to. That's NOT why she was there. Jewel herself even seemed a little caught off guard when he did bring up something about the new CD. I don't think even she was expecting any promotion of it that night. There's going to be PLENTY of time for that stuff later. I was really surprised Carson said as much as he did...but again, Jewel didn't seem to really take notice of it all that much. I think she knows there will be tons of time for promoting it once that time has arrived. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 22 Sep 2001 02:21:30 -0400 From: "Antonio Miquilena" Subject: [EDA] Wondering Wondering why my last msg wasn't included, it's weird. Hello Angels, (I feel like Charlie in Charlie's Angels) I was wondering whether anybody on this list has the "Wizard of Oz" video - you know, the production Jewel was in. I know you can get it at the Jewel Store, but I wanted to check with you guys to see if it was worth it before I bought it. I really want to see her in this - she'd be so cute as Dorothy. But I wanted to know what you guys think. Does anyone have it? I heard the interview on Z100. I almost forgot about it and I turned it on just when she got on. Thank god she was late! (hehe) Except I was caught off guard and I didn't have a tape ready to, um, tape the interview, and then the tape was still in the wrapper so I'm like, argh! Until I finally popped it in. It was pretty dandy for me as I listened. It was as humorous as it was serious. The only problem besides taping in the middle of the interview was the fact that there seemed to be an echo, like the studio was hollow or something. That's why I tried to get a better reception when she was starting hands and I moved the tuner (is that what it's called) the opposite way and I got frizzy noise. I was so surprised because I usually think of Juel as such a tuff chick (I know, I shouldn't stereotype), and the DJ was saying, "Look she's all teary-eyed from singing Hands". It made me think, THAT'S RIGHT! She _does_ have feelings! And anyway, I cried the first time I heard the new Hands. It's creepy how well it fits the situation, but I can't help but sing along. Anyway, Standing Still-- I was surprised by the song too. It's so much more mainstream than even Hands was. So mainstream that the bridge reminded me of Natalie Imbruglia (where is she??) And it seems faster and more upbeat than Spirit, yet it was still very Juel, you know? I like it. Thumbs up. ===== ~*Liz*~ the Bronx Angel HARMLESS & SHAMELESS PLUGS (if you can, check 'em out!)
