You in russian is tui or tipja (sorry to any russians, very hard to write russian without russian letters...). Something like that at least, been a while since I last spoke russian. On another note, what a lovely idea to release 'This Way' in europe one week earlier :-) This time us non-americans can make up our mind first. Even though it makes no difference. Jewel is pretty much unknown here, it will take a week to find a store with the CD ;-) Take care, Christian ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 04 Sep 2001 09:09:39 -0400 From: "Connell, Michael P" Subject: RE: [EDA] The Unreleased YWMFM? Turns out I WAS mistaken (like that's a huge surprise). The audio on the older (directed by Sean Penn) "You Were Meant For Me" video is the Juan Patino produced version (complete with congas & electric guitar) that was on the "Phyllis Barnaby Finally Gets A Bra" promo CD. Well I just downloaded them all today. THANK YOU Scott for putting them on your website!! I like all the new ones, it's good to see her sounding like her old self again. She's putting on her cute voice again so that's good, all that scatty crap way beginning to annoy me!! I like the old version of Serve the Ego much better though...Both versions of ENSS are good. I don't really hear much difference...Standing Still will be a good first single but it's kinda long, I'm assuming she'll edit it for radio?? Well that's what I think...Anyways I hope she tours America to promote the new album coz I'm living her until next July and I want to see her in concert again!! Take care angels, Louise. A lot of other artists have a thing called a street team that has presale tickets for people signed up to their street team. They have special passwords that they use. And what it does is help those fans to get presale tickets for the artists up coming shows before they actually go on sale. Usually one to two days before. I was just wondering if the Jewel-team was gonna do something like this? For the up coming tour? I know that their are no dates yet but when they are released it would be nice to be able to have a chance to get good tickets. Just my thought. In North America (USA and Canada), the album is scheduled for a November 13th release date. At approximately the same time, the album will also be released in Australia and New Zealand. Japan will get the album earlier, probably on or around October 31st. Latin America, Europe and South East Asia will see a release date scheduled during the first quarter of 2002. I just downloaded those seven songs that GREAT, WONDERFUL, SCOTT put on his FANTASTIC, TERRIFFIC, site!!!! OH MY GOSH I AM NOT KIDDING THIS IS THE BEST STUFF I HAVE HEARD FOREVER!!!! I LOVE these songs, well most of them, some of them I just "like" but the others I LOVE!!! This is what I think of each of them: Standing Still- FIRST off I wanna say THIS SONG KICKS SOME ASS!!!!! IT IS THE GREATEST I HAVE HEARD FOR A LONG TIME!!!! I definately think it will be a hit and that she will come back with a bang! I was starting tto think earlier that she was going to come back and everyone would say that she is old news but now I KNOW she will prosper!!! I love how most of her songs are like fun to try to figure out the meanings with all the metaphores and stuff she says, I enjoy that. BUT ALSO I ENJOY this one for comming right out and saying the meaning, there is no way you can take it any other way! IT IS GREAT!!!!!! I love how it is upbeat, it has got to be her first one on cd that is this upbeat, Jupiter was close but this hit it right on! MAN I LOVE THIS SONG!!!! I won't walk away- This song is also GREAT!!!! I LOVE how she sings the chorus and it has good meaning to it too! I definatly think that when this one is polished a little more, it would become also a GREAT SINGLE! I am definately looking forward to hearing the cd versions of all these songs. Serve the Egp- OH MY GOSH THIS ONE IS JAMMIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE the new version, absolutely LOVE IT! I love how after she sings, SERERERERVE THE EGOOOO, how the guitar and drums get louder, MAN I LOVE THAT, this would ALSO be a great single!!!!!! I LOVE when she gets taht rockier side to her, this was definately a great one! Everybody needs someone sometime- THis song is also great, it is kinda rocky too. MOre mellow than serve the ego but its pretty good too. I do not see a difference between this one and the radio shack one though. TO me they are the same, both great! Jesus loves you- GREAT, I LOVE the lyrics, and I LOVE the tune. I like the more accoustic sound to it then the rest. It definatly should stay the same and not change, but I MIGHT LOVE it if it became more rockier, as you can see I LOVE the rockier and poppier sides of jewel!!! The new wild west, and A long slow slide-- Right now I wasn't too crazy about them, they are kinda just boring. Maybe making the chorus in the new wild west a little longer or at least somthing to make it stand out. these kinda sound like just one long verse with no chorus. I think they will grow on me though, cause I LOVE all jewel music! THanks for listening to my opinion, I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR YOURS!!!! Please let me know what you think of them too! thanks. ALSO THANKS SCOTT YOU ARE THE GREATEST!!!!!!!! I OWE YOU ONE BUD! I just downloaded the new songs and I love them. Thank you so much Scott. It is so nice to hear some long awaited new material. I agree with the previous posts. Standing Still is going to make a great single. I really like the chorus. I Won't Walk Away is probably my favorite. Her voice sounds incredible. I like the upbeat nature of Everybody Needs Someone.
