Living in Montreal, I should know this, since there is a lot of sleeping around! ....................... Trust me, I know this is right, I took french in high school. Obviously who ever said their friend told them otherwise, either doesn't know their french very well, or just didn't want to tell the truth. But that IS the correct phrase. Ok maybe Britney Spears does lipsynch. And maybe a huge majority of her fame is solely based on her looks and clothes (or lack therof). But leave the girl alone, she's not as stupid as you may think, don't let the Luoisiana accent throw you off! Last time she came over and played scrabble, she got "quixotic" on me, and it was on a triple word score, so it was something like 108 points! I mean, wow. The highest Jewel has ever gotten was like Quail or something for 52 points. She prefers monopoly when she comes over and spends the night, but whatever. Have you seen the Simpsons edition? It's really keen :-) ~~Richard The Angel In Devil's Shoes ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 1 Sep 2001 00:07:09 EDT From: Spirit1924@aol.com Subject: [EDA] I have 2 REALLY stupid questions Hey Angels, I have 2 questions that I know are stupid, but maybe one of them can be answered. lol. My questions are: 1. What is Jewel's shoe size? 2. What hair color does Jewel use?( I know blond :) ) Thanks and take care ~Kristin ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 1 Sep 2001 00:44:39 EDT From: RachKat926@aol.com Subject: Re: (NJC) RE: [EDA] Standing Still I agree with you about songwriters. If they have a horrible voice... then let talented voices sing their music. I just personally have a huge problem with Britney Spears, and the whole pop culture scene as a whole. The music is written for them in an almost corporation type way. The people that write their music aren't songwriters looking for a way for their music to be heard. They're probably (I don't know this for a fact so don't quote my generalization) 40 year old men writing about teenage hormonal behavior. And the role model issue gets me too, but don't get me started on that. Bottom line: I have no problem with singers singing other writers' songs. More power to them-- but atleast have some substance to what you're saying... not "hit me baby one more time" and "oops i did it again." ~Rachel~ ------------------------------ End of jewel-digest V6 #375 ***************************
