Subject: [EDA] thanks I meant to say paraphrased, not quoted. :-) Anyhow, it doesn't really matter. I'm impressed though you find the time to reply to almost every single one of my posts, and can't find the time to reply to one of Sean's. Maybe I should feel special....haha. Regardless of the reason though, I'll continue to have my own. - -----Original Message----- From: Mike Connell To: Karacostas, Derrick W.; jewel@smoe.org Sent: 8/25/01 7:09 AM Subject: Re: [EDA] just sharing Derrick posted: >Mike wrote: > >That was NEVER the case. > >Then tell Sean this...since I quoted what he said. I didn't see any post >countering this comment from him, so I figured it has to be true. And I do >think I heard something about that as well back then. You did not *quote* what Sean said. You paraphrased it with more details that made what you said untrue. Re-read what Sean said on this and then read what you said. They are different. While Seans' was true to a point, it was also off slightly as his wasn't clear and detailed as yours was and you could take his more than one way....yours was just way off because you were more detailed and incorrect. What Sean said: >Although, even then, there is a 4th Jewelstock tape >that none of us have, and we all sit down and take it like contented little >lambs. The original reason for not releasing this 4th tape containing the >"electric" songs Jewel performed with her band at Jewelstock was because >Jewel was supposedly thinking of releasing some of the songs on legitimate >releases. Well, it's 5 years later, that excuse doesn't work anymore. That is true to a degree. "Some of the songs" does not mean the *exact same recordings* (i.e. the material from JewelStock tape 4). Jewel (and the overall Fritz Creek Store production team) WAS thinking of releasing some of the songs on a future release.....that being Fritz Creek Store. While I feel Sean may have also been alluding to a release other than Fritz Creek store, he did not come flat out and say it. (I want to address Seans' post too.....just need to find the time :-) What you/Derrick wrote: > I agree that both >should have been released long ago, either officially or unofficially. And >yes, that excuse of the tape 4 from JS being used in a later official >release has long worn out it's "invite". That's just not true. It was the *video of the whole show(s)* they had "another project in mind". (which of course may or may not have included all or part of the band material that is known as "Jewelstock tape 4". There's certainly over 5 hours of video footage from the two JewelStock shows. Some of Friday's show is better than Thursdays and vice-versa. Hard to say if the "project in mind" would have been either show in it's entirety or a mix & match of both shows. Anyhoots....my main point in replying is that you stated something that was not true and not a quote of what Sean said.
