If I can find my other spare copy of Mariposa from Luna Taylor, she'll get that, but I may have to just come of with something odd to send her.. :-) Okay so this happened in NYC this past July, at the Pantene Pro-Voice concert. Kelli Coppens and I were up by the gates to the interview area, where Jewel was being interviewed. Being rabid Jewel fans, we were frantically taking photographs and all that stuff, trying to talk the security guy into letting us up there, but he only let Kelli go up to the press stands and take pictures, which is cool, but wasn't enough for me. So when Jewel walked down, I hollered at the top of my lungs "Hey Jewel!" and she said "Hey what?" and so I said "Come over here" and she was like "Sheesh" and came over, so I was having her sign something and all of a sudden like a stampede of elephants across a plain or something, the crowd ran at us, only a little temporary gate for a barrier, and some lady tried to climb up my back and get at Jewel, and for a while on www.wireimage.com there was this pic of me holding up this fence with this lady on my back trying not to let the fence fall on Jewel. So I started a riot. Pretty funny, I thought :~) Gina EastAngel-------------------------------- Once again, thanks everyonerw - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 25 Aug 2001 03:09:15 +0000 From: "now and zen girl" Subject: [EDA] Re: humphreys concert sunday i just wanted to share with all of you guys how i got to see the first part of jewels soundcheck on sunday!! it was so cool... she was wearing her hair up in a black hat with an american flag on it, and she was wearing a black t-shirt and some jeans with the lovely cowboy belt buckle... and she called her new band kittens which was really cute. she was very proffessional during the soundcheck, it was really neat to see her telling everyone what to do... but i mean it was jewel so of course she was being her silly self... it was awsome. she did each song twice... when it came to doing wwsys she sang about 3 lines right, it was great. but she did it perfectly in the concert. i mean why sing all the words if its only a soundcheck any way. i also got interviewed and video taped to be in a jewel video... i hope they use my footage it would be so awsome!! you may all see me one day heheheh!! alisa - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 24 Aug 2001 23:26:53 EDT From: GnG849@aol.com Subject: Re: reply part deux - Re: [EDA] I agree with Sean >They just didn't want us to hear >it. To which I myself replied: >That was NEVER the case. {snip} While it's 100% true that that was never the case with what was to be JewelStock tape #4, upon further thought (my mind is not as fast as it once was), I am CERTAIN Derrick was just mixed up with what was the reason we never got the VIDEO of JewelStock. Side Note: For those new here, and those that just plain forgot, Jewelstock was also filmed on videotape by an EDA and his 3 man crew, as we were also originally told we could tree the video on the list along with the audio tape tree. I wasn't toltally in the loop on this topic as SOON (2 days) after JewelStock we were told we could not have the video....I quote (from Jewel's mom Lenedra in a list post): >A situation developed just prior to Jewelstock that caused >us to get a lttle paranoid about releasing tapes that have her >new material with the band. Dan sugggested releasing the video cuz the sound >quality (prior to adding the music from DAT) isn't really >pirate-able. But we have another project in mind for the >video. That was the LAST official word about the JewelStock video posted by anyone on the J-team. Obviously the project never came off (you have to figure MANY ideas/projects never come off) and I am totally certain the reason it never came to be available is for the very same bootleg fears. (while not supremely professional, this video would be better quality by far than any bootleg Jewel video out there other than bootleg video tapes of Jewel's television appearances) Mike ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 24 Aug 2001 23:53:13 EDT From: GnG849@aol.com Subject: [EDA] NJC i saw bottleg of blair witch as i was reading some some posts about jewel bootlegs, i thought of my brothers friend that brought a bootleg of the blair witch project to my house when it was just released in theaters. they fell asleep during it but i stayed awake. anywho, just thought i'd share my thought outloud =0) love megan, the smiley angel =0) have you had your smile today? ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 24 Aug 2001 18:43:32 -1000 From: "Josh" Subject: [EDA] phyllis Barnabee Finally Gets a Bra cd for sale also... 4 vinyl pices of you albums for sale Josh lewisc001@hawaii.rr.com ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 25 Aug 2001 00:50:45 EDT From: Prism14960@aol.com Subject: [EDA] Re: Fritz Creek Hey Sean :) Hey peeps Hi everyone, yes I'm still alive :) I know, I haven't posted in God knows how long. which should emphasize what I think of Sean's post. I can't help but totally agree with him. Really, I am just totally with him all the way on this one. He makes some very valid points. At *least* we should be able to get our hands on Jewelstock 4. There's no reason that session shouldn't be available to us. And since I have no idea how/when/where this could be done, I really don't have much to contribute. :) I just wanted to say I agree. I second that motion. Peace, 'Cilla ------------------------------ End of jewel-digest V6 #357 ***************************
