First and formost i want to apologize to those EDA's who met up at the strawberry fields entrance to central park. I was not there, and i know a few did go. My train was 40 minutes late pulling into the station, and i got stuck in manhattan trafic at 345 int he afternoon (go figure) so anyway, i do want to say im very sorry :o( The concert was incredible (duh). I finally got the meet some eda's for the first time ever. I have been on this list over 2 years, and never met a single EDA! Well, i met about 15!Yeah! I used Giant Squid Audio Lab binaural mics on my Sony MZR-37 MiniDisc recorder. I am currently in the process of mastering this recording using SoundForge 4.5 and will shortly be able to transfer the recording to CD using Adaptec Easy CD Creator 4.0 and my EXP CD-RW drive. At that time I will make the recording available for trade if someone can offer me a recording or video of July 23rd, 1999 - PNC Bank Arts Center, Holmdel, NJ. Hi !! sorry to post to late, but I just got back from New York to Miami , the concert was great!! it was cool to see the other performers as well and to meet some of the eda's also. She sang great and I got to run to towards near the stage (thanks to Dennis for watching my stuff !) so I got really close and took a whole roll of film, but they didn't come out very good , so much for those freakin' disposable cameras.. Backtrot...I got there around 3:30pm (after getting on the wrong train ) and walked around a little , sat in front of the John Lennon "Imagine" memorial at the west entrance at "Strawberry Fields" , I was so in a trance right there, 'cause I love Lennon and his vision of the world.....anyway...after waiting a little for the other eda's that were going to meet there, I didn't see any so I headed down to the entrance line and when I got there a big branch, I'm talking "huge" fell from a tree and on top of some girl, who of course didn't get to see the concert, she was taken away by the rescue...I hope she's ok and gets some legal advise :) So I got pretty good seats and sat with the infamous Dennis, who it's a great person and I share his sense of humor, we tried to instigate a thing with the beach ball , but after people bounced it a few times, they took our ball :( Well, like I said, Jewel was amazing and I really hope I get to see her soon... This Nashville thing would have been great, but there's no more $$ after New York, so I hope a lot of you get to go. Before the show began, Jewel was sitting behind a fence with some interviewers. I just casually walked over to her to take some pictures. The security guy says to me "you can go up to her and get closer shots if you want" so he opens the fence and lets me through! i was like 15 feet from her (the tv cameras were in the way). so then the security guy waves me towards him (guess my time was up lol). So i go through the fence and he shuts it. Just then another EDA - my friend Gina the East Angel (HI GINA! SORRY I DIDNT GO TO BEARsville) She is standing next to me and shouts JEWEL. Jewel comes right over to us and shakes Ginas hand. I was too busy snapping my camera. Then Tons of kids RAN up to the fence where we were and threw books and t-shirts at jewel. she was nice and started doing the autograph thing. I have like three autographs from her so i didnt need any more. She looked so great. Really tan. She seemed happy too. Then she finally walked away. but i was happy i got sooo many pictures of her!! Then the concert began and WOW! The girls that played before Jewel were really talented. Then jewel sang about five songs and talked to us in between. Break Me is the most beautiful song! It was a memorable night. Now i am waiting for next monday when i will take a looong but worth it drive to Nashville Tennessee!! Once invited, if you still at that point do not yet know what theatre in Nashville the show will be at, I would recommend you just book a room anyplace in the city that is in your price-range and then just make plans later on getting from the hotel/motel to the venue. Everyone who replied should just sit tight until you get an invite and further instructions from them. NO ONE on this list knows any facts about this show that wasn't already given in MrBB's post.
