I don't think you would say that unless you are blind and deaf. U2 is U2! Come on, they have an amazing presence on stage. Jewel can not compare. I have seen U2 and Jewel in concert, and I know that there is no comparison. I like Jewel's music quite a bit, but nothing can top Bono, Edge, Larry, and Adam on stage. On a side note, Melissa Etheridge is better on stage as well. Jewel definetely beats Fiona Apple though. So we start a topic, just basically to be yourself and to handle your Jewel worship! i can4t see what is wrong with this! Jewel is unique, and you hope to share your feelings! The new songs of Jewel are just 2 good to be truth! and of course we wait for a new record. but when you are a fan you have a desire a warm feeling for an artist. you can replace it by listening to other fans but : Jewel stays always the SAME sweet down to earth artist we all have seen hopefully live!!! And everyone would agree that no one can beat her style!! There is just when you are a dedicated fan no near match! because Jewel is a one of a kind artist! So everyone who rates differently is crazy in my opinion! We feel for Jewel, we are dedicated and want to hear Jewelnews! That is the one and only reason we like to be on this list already for so many years!!! That is for me just basically the main thing : to enjoy Jewel , her music, her lyrics ! And you want to see her in the spotlight and to enjoy her concerts!!! We in Europe hope to see her soon, it is 2 years ago since she has been in EUROPE!! That is just a basic fact!!!!!! No one can deny this!!!!!! Other parts of the world also did mis Jewel appereances! bye Michiel ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 16 Jul 2001 12:54:30 EDT From: GnG849@aol.com Subject: [EDA] game k kiss the flame! i'm new to this game! hey that ryhmes hehe. love megan, the smiley angel =0) ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 16 Jul 2001 12:55:56 -0400 From: "S c o t t" Subject: Re: [EDA] CORRECT Jewel DVDS <> You must have seen Ani on a bad night.. To tell you the honest truth I'd rather see Ani live again than see Jewel.. The energy she created in that room was amazing.. She was perfect the whole night.. The atmosphere was so thick you'd need a Ginsu to cut through it...lol ..But maybe I'm biased because I never got too far into Jewel's Spirit Tour, and the fact that Ani has surpassed Jewel as my favorite musician.. I didn't fully enjoy any of the Spirit dates I saw on video or heard on CD, as I did with the stuff I've seen/heard from the Tiny Lights Tour.. In 1997, Jewel was at a peak that's hasn't recreated so far.. She wrote a lot of her best stuff then.. And then during the Spirit Tour you added the band and her vocal improvs which didn't pan out half the time, as much as I hate to admit it.. I'm a huge Jewel fan, yes.. But I just feel that tour didn't create some of her best sounds yet.. The TLT was perfection, and her new stuff sounds a lot better.. "Break Me" "Violet Eyes" "Rosy & Mick".. That's some of the best stuff yet.. So maybe my opinion will change.. An opinion which is biased, I'll say again.. But you know what? There's no point in even worrying about it.. We're in a "time will tell" stage.. She's about to start her next album, and presumably, her next tour.. I have really high hopes for both.. I love the new stuff (even though I hope for more "Break Me"'s and "Does Anyone Believe In Love"'s and less "Shadows Play"'s.. Don't really feel the bossa nova in my bones even if it is fine background music..) and I think she'll reach another high level, if not another peak.. :-) scott.evans [[crazy is just YOU and ME.
