This was taped on February 27, 1997 and aired on March 30, 1997.. It has been over FOUR YEARS since I first saw this special and really fell in love with Jewel.. I had gotten Pieces Of You, my first CD (or album in general) the previous Christmas (I was 10) but had pretty much not really listened to it.. So I was a little 11 year old watching this thinking "this woman is awesome!".. I went and listened to a little more of POY and still didn't really understand the importance and relevance of the lyrics.. But I listened more and more over the next months.. And thinking back to now.. In a few weeks, it will have been a half-decade since that show.. It's already been over six years since the release of POY (2/28/95), and over seven years since she was signed by Jenny Price (March 1994).. Times have changed a lot since then, but when you look at shows like HRL you see the relevance that good music such as Jewel's holds well into later generations and the progression of an artist and a human being.. Still very strange experience thinking about all of this though.. scott.evans [[crazy is just YOU and ME. AMPLIFIED.]] AOL IM: sevans112 . Yahoo! IM: sevans56 . scott@tanweb.com My scribble pad. Ok, lemme know if this is ok, and if you can do it? I as looking at the subway map at both 72nd street entrances (west and east) I see one of the most main subway stops is at the 72nd WEST entrance. So in a previous post, i said east entrance, but since i know a few are going by subway, how about the WEST entrance instead? it is a pretty good entrance, with not much around there (strawberry fields) so im sure, it will be rather easy to find each other, especially if we can get SOMEONE to get a blue baloon? then we can just shoot down the trail and get in line. We meet at 4:00pm we can be in line by 4:15 ok, so please let me know if this sounds ok with everyone!!! Amanda ------------------------------ End of jewel-digest V6 #274 ***************************
