Just to make those of you not attending jealous ;-) and maybe add a little encouragement to those of you who may be on the fence about going, here's a copy of the latest update I sent out to the attendees yesterday: `````````````````````````````````````````````````````` Howdy Folks - Less than two weeks now until Bearsville - I hope everyone is as excited as I am :-) As you all know, we plan to head up on Wednesday ourselves. B I believe the majority of you plan to arrive friday afternoon/evening, but would like to call the campgrounds tomorrow or Tuesday and just confirm our reservations and give them a better idea of the numbers and arrivals. B Please just take a second and let me know ASAP when you'll be arriving. B Thanks :-) For those of you already thinking what to pack, the weather forecast for the next week seems to be running from the lower 70's to 80 for the highs and pretty much 50's for the lows at night - sounds good, let's hope the weather stays good :-) (I'll update you all on the forecast as we get closer) As I'm sure the 'usual suspects' know, it seems to have rained at least once every year, but maybe we'll get lucky this year :-) B I also plan to ask when I call the campgrounds how the water levels look as I'm sure there'll be at least one tubing excursion over the weekend :-) B So remember an old pair of tennis shoes as they are required (though they also have creek shoes for rent for $2, might be worth avoiding lugging another item.... We also plan to go horseback riding again. B The cost last year was $25, and I assume the price is probably still the same or close to it. B I'm thinking that we will do this fairly early on Saturday morning as we did last year so that we avoided any waiting (if you'll remember they had people waiting when we got back). B I'll let them know on Friday that we'll be coming in case they need to bring over more horses (seems like they did last year...) B Please let me know if you plan to join us so I can get an estimated head count ahead of time (just so I know before we leave for Bearsville). B You will also probably want to be sure you have long pants (jeans?) and maybe boots for this activity.
