I have the cd, does anybody know if Jewel sings any of the songs with Steve. There is definitely somebody singing in the background but I can't make out if it is Jewel or not. Any help would be appreciated. I thought I'd do a "quick" run-down of everything like Amy (W1GGY2@aol.com) did: Concert in Central Park: Tickets - FYE in Manhattan is out of tickets, but FYE/Record Town in the Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City, Long Island has lots left. They have a limit of 4 per customer, so I got my 4. If anyone needs tickets, I can go back and get more. Meeting- I would love to meet some people at/before the concert. I work in Manhattan, but I could get out any time between 5 and 8! Therefore, I can't plan any time to meet, but I'll try to get out as early as possible so I can be there early. At least 2 of you have suggested carrying a certain color balloon. I think it's a really good idea for all of us to plan to bring the same color balloon and try to find each other. It will make things a lot easier for all of us. If you guys are making any plans for after the concert, or for the night before or anything, let me know (either on the list or private e-mail). I only joined the list a few months ago and have never met anyone else on it. Plus, this will only be my second time seeing Jewel live! Bearsvile: Cannot go :-( Work... Have fun without me! Rarest Item: None. I have nothing other than her 3 CD's and a single. I know a bunch of you said you had like 100's of those Radio Shack posters. Yeah, they're not rare, but something I'd like to have. If anyone is willing to bring one to mail me one (or maybe bring one to Central Park, though it would be hard to find one another), that would be great. Feel free to e-mail me privately. Thanks. Jewel Duets: Singers - Faith Hill, Sarah McLachlan, Dido, Shania Twain, Elton John, Billy Joel, and of course: Steve Poltz! Groups - No Doubt, Dixie Chicks, The Coors, The Verve, Counting Crows Thanks all. Enjoy the concert and Bearsville. Have a great summer! :-) Patricia (Perterter@aol.com) "El mundo es mi pollo" "Le monde est mon poulet" "Swiat jest moim kerczakiem" ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 8 Jul 2001 21:21:21 -0400 From: "S c o t t" Subject: [EDA] Jewel mention on PBR Hey, on TNN's airing of the PBR tournaments, they have a little thing where fans can ask questions to the rodeo stars, and this woman asked Ty how he and Jewel managed to juggle their relationship and their careers.. He said it was pretty easy because he didn't do anything in between competition and training (or something like that) and Jewel doesn't do much of anything when she isn't touring, and they both have enough money to move around and do stuff like that. So, anyway, I'm still watching the show (I'm getting pretty into rodeo...the whole southern boy part of me is really addicted), and while I don't think Jewel will show up since she's usually in the studio, I'll let you know if she does.. They rerun PBR quite a lot, so it shouldn't be too hard to catch it! PS -- Ty just had a great run! He's tied for 3rd in a close running and he's looking pretty good.. PPS -- It would be funny if Ty and Jewel ran into Jewel's ex, Mr. Soap-Stud-Turned-Cowboy Chris Douglas, since this tournament is in Montana, and that's where Chris has moved ;-) scott.evans [[crazy is just YOU and ME.
