It looks like if things keep going the way they are and we sink deeper into the recession there will be a new wave of singer/songwriters to come out on top. Apparently people get a little bit more introspective when there are political and economic situations that have an impact in ourselves and our pockets..therefore the interest in music changes, right now I think everyone is feeling this recession and all of us will think about all the money we wasted away in the past decade and get in touch with our feelings and expectations..David Gray, Jil Scott, Dido etc are some of the upcoming singer/songwirters on the rise that might help carry this wave. Definitely time for a change...don't you think? Don't get me wrong pop artists right now are very talented and they do have their place, I'm guilty of loving every type of music and yes, I do know the whole dance steps in "Oops I did it again ", but I've always been in touch with poetry and , well, I just love someone that can combine personal experiences, prose and music together, kinda touches my soul, and I like that better,... check out the show on VH1 , I'm sure they'll be repeating it again pretty soon.. Later... Lucky Angel.. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 29 Jun 2001 09:59:05 EDT From: GIOKAT@aol.com Subject: [EDA] rare items Hi all, I have her high school yearbook!!!
