Subject: [EDA] One more item I forgot to mention this one before....can't believe I overlooked it as it may be one of the most rare Jewel related items I have.... I have a REALLY rare book called Mindfire: Dialogues in the Other Future. (the title is close to this, I haven't actually looked at the book in a couple years now) Published in 1995 I believe. This was way before her first official poetry book. It's a rather thick paperback book (maybe 200-250 pages), and one chapter was written completely by Jewel! I think her chapter is about 20 pages. This is VERY hard to find, and even when I got my copy about 4 years ago, it took me about 2 weeks of searching, mostly online, before I finally found a copy from some little unknown Canadian book store. See, it was never published in the US, and has long been out of print in Canada (had been for 2 years when I got mine). Talk about hard to find. What I like most about this book is that hardly anyone knew about Jewel at the time she wrote her chapter. However, since it was commercially available (and may still be) on the Kilcher's official website, it may not be all too rare. But still cool nevertheless. Anyway, it's a VHS tape with footage shot by Yule Kilcher, her grandfather, many years ago of the Alaskan Wilderness, and the homestead Jewel grew up on. A couple shots actually show Jewel as well, when she was around 10-12 (I'm guessing). Even though her segment is only a minute, maybe even less, it's still well worth having the tape.
