This was recorded in NYC two years ago (June 9, 1999) with an audience of Jewel's online fans and has not been rebroadcast in quite some time. If you don't have this on tape already, you may wish to mark your calendar and enjoy tuning in. This week, the Oxygen Cable Network has two rebroadcasts scheduled for Jewel's appearance last year on "Trackers." This program features an interview with Jewel as well as live performances of "Ave Maria" and "Silent Night." Originally broadcast in November of last year, this is the first time it has been rebroadcast since then. Willa Ford will open the concert. Performances by the five chosen finalists will follow and the concert will end with a solo acoustic performance by Jewel. You can find current FREE TICKET information at http://www.pro-voice.com. Also, beginning today, a limited number of free tickets will be available on a first-come first-serve basis from http://www.Z100.com and according to the Pro-Voice web site, at the following area stores: 1. FYE at 51st Street and 6th Avenue in Manhattan 2. FYE in Jersey Gardens Mall, Elizabeth, New Jersey 3. Coconuts 413 Tarrytown Road, White Plains, NY 4. Record Town in Roosevelt Field Mall, Garden City, NY We have double-checked with Pantene today and the above information has been verified. To avoid confusing store personnel when contacting any of the above mentioned places, ask for the free tickets to the Pantene Pro-Voice Event, NOT Jewel concert tickets. From everything we've been told, you will need a ticket to enter the Rumsey Play Field area of Central Park, which is where the concert is being held. Anyone can stroll around Central Park in general and likely listen to the concert, but to get in the stage area, we'd advise those wishing to attend to follow the www.pro-voice.com web site instructions and attain the FREE tickets. This concert is also being taped and plans are to broadcast it on MuchMusic and ComCast Cable in late August/early September. So... let's solve that problem right now. The final answer that allows you access to the video prize is Bono, the lead singer of U2. He shared a microphone with Jewel during Wyclef Jean's Net Aid Concert opener, "Unity Song." To enjoy our interactive Jewel games and contests, please visit the "Activities" page at www.jeweljk.com. I have several rare Jewel items. Here are three of my favorites. 1. A glow in the dark "Participate in Miracles" poster from fairly early on in Jewel's career. It is signed "Jewel Kilcher" and has an angel drawing on it directed toward "Steve". It was obtained after a show in '95. I'd guess there aren't too many of these out there with a custom drawing by Ms. Kilcher, but I could be wrong. 2. POY CD that is signed "Steve- If you were a buttercup your eyelashes would be yellow". 3. 5' tall store display poster from the Radio Shack concert. From what I've gathered, these are extremely rare. Most stores were sent the smaller version of this poster that is about half its size. Of the stores that actually had the larger version, the vast majority of them probably threw the posters away after the show. I have never seen another one. So if anyone wants to get it there, he said that they had a bunch of them....So I'll see you guys there...I would love to meet EDA's going to the concert, I'm from Miami and every year I go to New York for a little break , I wish I could go to Bearsville but I have to get back that sunday and really, not a lot of $$ with me..so, at least this will make my trip worth while...hope she sings more than 2 songs...that would make my trip even better!! love Lucky Angel.... ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 25 Jun 2001 21:04:14 -0400 From: MrBB Subject: [EDA] If you already signed up for the free tickets Hi all, Many of you signed up for free Central Park tickets at the www.pro-voice.com web site when we intially announced it several weeks ago. We understand you are growing concerned because you have not recieved your tickets yet. However, worry not. They will be coming. We contacted them on your behalf and relayed your concern and here's the applicable part of the reply (below). Have a good night, MrBB Message from www.pro-voice.com: The tickets that were given away on pro-voice.com will all be sent out by the end of this week. We're stuffing envelopes as I type, so they should receive them quite soon (end of next week). I hope that makes you (and the fans) feel better! :) ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 25 Jun 2001 21:05:08 EDT From: Buster2530@aol.com Subject: Re: [EDA] Weirdest // Rarest Jewel Item?
