It says there's like 295 working links. It's called MiRea's Jewel's Realm of Mega Links and you can find it at www.angelfire.com/realm/mirea/jewel/ Mike ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 9 Jun 2001 15:47:03 -0400 From: "Scott Evans" Subject: Re: [EDA] a boatload of Jewel links << http://www.angelfire.com/realm/mirea/jewel/ >> That's actually a really nice site.. I just went there, not expecting much.. But it's very simple and serves it purpose very well.. It looks like she checks the links every week; very nice! ...And I'm not just saying that because my site is linked! ;-) scott.evans [[crazy is just YOU and ME. AMPLIFIED.]] AOL IM: sevans112 . Jewel needs to do *something*... I agree with the Dido comment (who, by the way, I'm seeing in concert this week.. I'm really looking forward to it), but I feel that she needs to make her name reappear in the media in some way. I have a photo of her on one of my binders, and a friend of mine saw it the other day and said something like, "Oh, isn't that Jewel? What happened to her anyway? Is she even singing anymore?" For people who had heard her music but weren't die-hard fans, she just appears to have disappeared from the music scene all together. It's really sad, because you're right, Chris -- she deserves global success. <3 Philippa - ----- Original Message ----- > Date: Wed, 30 May 2001 16:24:06 +0100 > From: "Chris Groves" > Subject: [EDA] Why hasn't Jewel been remixed or sampled? > > What Jewel needs to (re)launch her singing career > is a major artist to sample or remix one of her > songs. > > It worked for Dido. There are more that I'd like to be on there, like Summer Home In Your Arms and Buttercup, but that's my seven for now. ;) <3 Philippa - ----- Original Message ----- > Date: Wed, 30 May 2001 21:51:18 -0700 > From: Shawn E Williams > Subject: [EDA] Unreleased Songs Poll > > This is just another poll, so please answer! Individual/group Hey angels! Great idea, tell me what you think.. I was reading my seventeen magazine the other day and saw the article on those girls who volunteered and helped people and won the trip to meet the First Lady and Brandy, etc... Anyways, today, this woman was in at work, (I work at Eckerd) and we have a sale on dollar items : 50 cents each. She bought all kinds of stuff, pens and pencils, markers, toys, etc etc, (we're a small store but there's so many different items) I asked why she was buying them, and she said she was donating them to a women's shelter or something for the kids there, and keeping the pens and stuff til school time so they would have some materials. So I had this idea. For an EDA project, or just to help out, why don't we go to our community Eckerd's or Dollar Stores and buy stuff like that to donate? Even if an EDA would get a group of friends to pool a few bucks to buy a couple things, anything would help. There's so much great stuff you can get for practically nothing, and I think it would be a great project. That way, people don't need that much money or search for contacts and a project leader in the US or whatever. I want to get in contact with my Key Club leader to see if I can spread the idea around with them.. we did something like that for a shelter in the area... If you like the idea, do it... for 50 cents or something, you can get a lot of good stuff... and you can also help areas that are located around you :) KIT to let me know what you think :) Luv, Sheila ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 10 Jun 2001 00:28:55 EDT From: MeTarzanYouJewel@aol.com Subject: [EDA] Before They Were Rock Stars: Auditions I do not know if this is a new one or not. I know I've never seen it. But I noticed that on June 22nd on VH1 there's Jewel listed as being on Before They Were Rock Stars: Auditions at 3:30pm eastern Has anyone seen this one about auditions? Or is it new? This episode is probably going to be a rerun of one of two clips: the one with Jewel speaking with a guy who was trying to give her a contract deal, which she rejected, or the one where she's doing a silly little mock commercial.. The latter is on my Jewel site under the MPEG Downloads section, along with many other videos.. It's at http://jewel.tanweb.com ..But anyway, on the question, I'm pretty sure it will be a rerun.. scott.evans [[crazy is just YOU and ME. AMPLIFIED.]] AOL IM: sevans112 . Yahoo!
