"Bearsville" is NOT a Jewel event/concert at all. It's just an annual "camp out" that anywhere from 25 to 40 list member/EDAs attend. JewelStock, the private concerts that Jewel gave for this list, occurred in Bearsville (a mile from Woodstock NY) in mid-July of 1996. Over 300 EDAs and guests attended the two shows. The following summer, based on the bonds and friendships that the JewelStock event created, a bunch of us wanted to "do it again", even though Jewel would not be giving a show. In other words, in July of 1997 50 of us congregated in the same area to camp out for a weekend and partake in some of the many offerings this touristy Catskill mountains area has to offer. (is "touristy" a word?) We've been doing so every mid-July ever since. It is open to all list members, young and old, newly subscribed and veterans. Everyone.
