Do you think she only got .50 per CD?? i know that friends that are artis who get Pro CD's made pay like $2-$2.5 a pop. So if they sell their CD's for like 12 bucks they make like 10. So if a BIG Lable they would pay a lot less to make 10 million CD's and they sell from 12.99 to 18.99. Thats pretty lame if she only got .50c a CD. Also all the money from Touring, and stuff like that. Jewel has BANK! Come and See Steve Poltz i think in SF some time in mid June like the 13-18. The declaration follows a $10 million lawsuit filed by Vainshtein in 1998 in California Superior Court in L.A., alleging that she was wrongfully terminated as Jewel's manager. According to Jewel's attorney, Larry Greenfield, the Labor Commissioner ruled last week that Vainshtein violated California law by booking engagements for the singer without a license. Based on the ruling, Greenfield plans to seek dismissal of Vainshtein's suit. Vainshtein's attorney, Dave Koropp, says the Labor Commissioner's decision has "no bearing whatsoever" on the suit and that the Superior Court will determine whether the management contract was valid. Jewel remains managed by her mother, Lenedra Carroll. What I want to know is how the decision has no bearing? To me it looks like it has everything do with Inga's case.. It's virtually over, isn't it? =) scott.evans [[crazy is just YOU and ME. I found this at a newswire.. Does anyone know what of Jewel's stuff will be in this book/these books? Alan maybe? Here's the article... Today, Alloy Online (Nasdaq:ALOY) launched its new teen book imprint, AlloyBooks(TM), in major online and offline bookstores and at its Web site at www.alloy.com. The launch of the first four books of the 12-book program represents another powerful extension of the Alloy brand in the Generation Y space. The 12 books in the initial AlloyBooks(TM) program are derived from user-generated content submitted to the most popular channels on the Alloy Web site (www.alloy.com). Focusing on poetry, beauty, dreams and advice, select Alloy visitors' writing will be showcased alongside the likes of Shakespeare, e.e. cummings and popular musicians such as Missy Elliott and Jewel. There's more, but that's it for Jewel.. scott.evans [[crazy is just YOU and ME.
