Yeah, a box set would be great, but a more accurate count of her songs is much lower. It's between 220 and 240. I don't why some people think it's over 1000. The song is called "Varg och Delphin" aka "Wolf and Dolphin" aka "Swedish Song". There are some mp3s of this song called "Sad Lights"... where the heck does that come from?! I mean, Varg och Delphin, Wolf and Dolphin, and Swedish Song all make sense as titles, but Sad Lights does not. How are you? Yesterday I was in Na*st*r looking for some Jewel songs and I ran into the song "Jewel: X-Men Wolverine's Theme". I thought it was weird and I knew it definetely wasn't Jewel but I downloaded it anyway 'cause I was curious. Okay, so it wasn't Jewel... BUT the song had the exact melody and the kind of arrangement of HANDS!!! (More similar to the live band arrangement from her tour than the actual album arrangement) It was SO funny. I don't know who's the girl singing the song, but definetely it is NOT Jewel. However, downloaded it! It's HANDS with other lyrics and voice, but don't expect it to be better than the original ;) Take care, Mirko P.S.- Does anyone know who sings it or when was it recorded? If you are only considering completed original songs that Jewel wrote herself or in collaboration with others, its over 400 to date. This does not include the many cover songs that Jewel has performed live or recorded. Theres easily another 150 of those (& probably a lot more from her early years performing with her dad.) If you include all the partially completed songs, songs Jewel has only fooled around with at soundchecks and rehearsals, or spontaneous ditties she's made up during shows and only did once (another 186 of those worth noting in the song database so far), we're talking well over 700. I do not include poetry or journal readings at concerts as songs, but theres lots of those as well, many of which have never been published. And by the time you read this, she's probably written another one. ;-) Cheers, MrBB >> ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 19 May 2001 12:24:22 EDT From: RachKat926@aol.com Subject: Re: [EDA] Jewel song question? I seem to remember downloading "precious burden" (it said it was Jewel) and it was not her. A lot of people rename songs thinking it is an artist, when it's really not. That's happened to me with more than one jewel song. I don't think Precious Burden is her. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 19 May 2001 13:52:44 -0700 From: Shawn E Williams Subject: [EDA] Jewel mentioned on cmt hi! i was watching the alan jackson behind the music kind of thing, but on CMT, and randy travis was talking about the country music awards and he said that he has nothing against Jewel or anything and he likes her, but he said he thinks the only reason merle haggard was on the awards is, b/c Jewel was performing with him. just thought i would share that w/ you guys. love ya, shawney the hippie angel "Make Love, Not War" ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO! My cousin lives In Ireland and occasionally works in Dublin Id love to spend it with him. Heres my question. I cant bring anybody with me when I go to the UK, so Id be all alone in another country.
