Hi Thanks for the infos. Jason, do you have an address or a phone number for the budget motels you are talking about ??? Also for those of you who are going to the Jewel shows, we were wondering where you were planning to stay at. I think it would be fun that all the EDAs stay at the same place, what do you think ? For instance, my laptop will still load pages I've been to recently even if I'm not connected to the internet, because the information is saved in the cache for a while and it calls upon that instead of reloading it. When you reload your screen, you're only reloading that screen, and if the name of the link is the same, the same information is still being stored and accessed from your cache. To fix this rather than just wait for the memory stored in the cache to expire, go into your files for internet explorer (where it's actually stored, not loading the file) , through windows explorer, and delete the history as well as the temporary internet files stored. This directory would most likely be somewhere like "c:/windows/internet explorer .... then /history and /temp" ... it would be the same for netscape, just under c:/windows/netscape instead :) I hope that helps....if you're having problems understanding what I wrote, email me and I'll try and explain better :) ~ Sandy - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Amanda" To: Sent: Thursday, May 03, 2001 6:27 PM Subject: [EDA] New Questions, and new videos > I was just wondering if anyone else was having problems with the new > quesitons and video on jeweljk. i played trhe game 2 times, and still the > same questions and videos. Later ya'll Woody the Plywood Cow, who made an extensive 1999 coast-to-coast tour, has chosen to go into retirement. Whether he decides to have a reunion tour in the future is totally up to the little plywood bugger. He would like me to pass on his howdy-hows to all the nice EDAs he met during the past two years, especially the ones at the Storytellers studio taping, Woodstock and in southern California. Woody's reasons for retirement are not totally clear. Whether it was the fright of Rizoulle broadjumping over him on the beach at the "Gathering of Angels", or Shane Kilcher's overly aggressive "whiplash" roping of Woody at the EDAF/HGH meeting in 1999 is debatable. But Woody has many fond memories, including seeing Jewel at Woodstock and having her write her name backwards on his nose at the VH1 studios (actually, it's not backwards, it just looks backwards to Woody when he looks at it in the mirror). Woody also enjoyed his volunteer role at the Boston Walk for Hunger (he made a fantastic "people barrier") and his trips to Bearsville, New Orleans, Texas, New York City and New Jersey. He particularly enjoyed visiting the other cows at the New York "Cow Parade" program, where unique "artsy" cows were placed all over the city. Woody still ponders who the heck "cork cow" was on the list, and badly misses the amorous affections of Luna Taylor he received on many occasions. But as with all things on this list, traditions never totally die, they simply evolve. While Woody's plywood body and rope tail remain tucked away in his travel bag, his head is safely hung on my bedroom wall in Massachusetts. He seems genuinely happy being "out to pasture". He has plans for a web site, but cannot keep his darn AOL account online long enough to get much done. And typing with those inflexible plywood hooves doesn't help much, either. BTW, Woody's email address is plywoodcow@aol.com. He enjoys receiving jokes and dirty limericks involving cows, plywood and/or Jewel. That said, the zen-like act of roping will continue at EDA gatherings, whether it be cows, sundry plywood objects, or Tammy's children. In fact, I feel quite confident there will be roping at this weekend's EDA Gathering in New Jersey -- Tammy has herself a new red rope! ;-) - ---> Anticipating the next question: why do we rope plywood cows? Well, Jewel appeared on the RoseAnn Barr talk show and roped her plywood rodeo practice cow on national TV. It was a funny bit, and the purpose of doing it is to practice rodeo team roping skills. Alan (MrBB) posted about how he and the stage crew became addicted to roping backstage during her current tour. Where Jewel's plywood cow is now remains a mystery. I suspect MrBB borrowed it and continues to rope it in his basement. My advice to Alan remains the same: "Friends don't let friends rope plywood animals!" (But Harris will INSIST you rope plywood animals, of course.) I hope that satisfies everyone's curiosity.
