Okay, this is mainly concerning Joe Kunis. I know what he said pissed some people off. All of this has brought to light a few things. A lot of the people here are generally good people, and in the three years I've been here, I've made a lot of friends that I love to death, one of which has saved my life (Chris Sylvester, you may or may not remember him). I love the list and most everyone on it. And yet, as much as we like to come off as being kind and open minded, when these things happen, just little posts about an opinion end up causing huge flame wars. We act like we're so open to diversity, and yet when diverse opinions come up, we are unable to find tact in our disagreements. We can't just say "I see what you're saying, but I don't agree with you.", we end up saying "I think you're a racist dumbass and you said this that and the other thing...what does this say about you?" Tact isn't that hard a thing to use. I love you all, generally you're great people. But it's not illegal to say "Okay, I respect your opinion as yours, and this is mine" instead of "Listen here dumbass...". Personally, Kudos to no end to Joe. He voiced an opinion without intention to piss anyone off, and didn't scream, holler and moan when some here forgot the meaning of "Tact". I'm not trying to piss anyone off, and if I have, feel free to say so. But please say it straightforward without four letter adjectives and verbs explaining why I'm wrong. I have to admit, ever since I started college, I haven't been checking my EDA mail as much as I used to. In fact, it's been over a month since the last time I checked, so you can imagine that my inbox was a bit full of EDA mail as well as spam. In other words, I am out of the loop. Can someone update me on the next album, new book info and when the next tour might be? I live in Michigan, and I am a bit disappointed that the last time she was in my area was the summer of 1999. I need my Jewel fix! Matt The "Thespian/Tubist" Angel PS Mike, I have't spoken to you in several months, what's up man? Though this would probably go against what Jewel either currently believes or once believed, I think that there should be an official Jewel Fan%20club. Now, the fees don't have to be high, but any profits made could be given to HGH. Now, the best part is that front row seats to her concerts could be sold to members of the Fan club, only. This is possible, because other fan clubs do it; Barenaked Ladies and Dave Matthews, to name a few. This would be absolutely terrific, because the fans would get the great seats, as opposed to scalpers or venue subscribers, and the fans wouldn't have to pay outrageous prices. I don't know how we can initiate this, but let's try! Along with these changes comes some all-new interactive activities, which is a fancy way of saying games, games, games! That's right, you'll find a new ACTIVITIES page in our navigation menu. Here you'll find the first launch of our interactive games all about Jewel. For the page's premiere, we're offering two unique game experiences. The first is called "Bites & Baubles," which can best be described with the question: "How fast can you name that Jewel tune?" The game is loaded with sound bites from Jewel songs. Your job is to figure out which songs they are without having to ask for more clues. Then pop into the second game and test your knowledge for some straight-up Jewel trivia. Called "Jewelology," this game rewards those who've made being a Jewel fan a science. There are three levels of questions, each one harder than the last. You're bound to learn a few facts each time you play and we dare you to make it all the way to the end. So what if you do make it to the end of our games? Good question! Well, on top of just feeling pretty good about yourself, there's prizes. Right now, when you win by completing all three levels, you'll have access to exclusive live performance video clips, never seen anywhere else! We're going through the archives, pulling specially selected performances both old and new. Along with unreleased performance clips from the 1999 Spirit World Tour and the mini-solo-acoustic tour last year, future prize clips will also include never-before-seen video footage from Jewel's legendary 1996 concerts at The Bearsville Theater in Woodstock, affectionately remembered as Jewelstock. For all the current information you've come to expect, pay us a visit at Jewel's official website at www.jeweljk.com. Enjoy our brand new look and for a fun diversion, don't miss the games!
