I was hoping to find out things like the originators and oldschool members of this list are always talking about. Like the beach cleanups, charity work, etc. I think even the EDA foundation originated through work here, right? All the stuff people did 'in the name of Jewel' if you will. (I once read an article where she said it was cool to have an orginization doing 'random acts of kindness in your name.') I have no problem with what the list is now, but I would have liked to have seen a little of the magic the original (apparently now silent) members of the list still talk about from time to time. I would like to share my 10 fave songs of jewel, the ones that gets to me everytime I listen to them, the ones that have an impact on me either in a good way or a bad way. Here is my all time list of Jewel Favorite Songs thru her career, it's also a way to stop the bitchering about the Race Car Driver issue, which to be quite honest it's starting to piss me off, but oh well...I won't get bitchy :) First of all, the most important and favorite song of jewel for me "Foolish Games" I simply cannot get enough of this song, I have different versions she have done in shows and each one is different and better :) But since I'm not going to make a paragraph of each song, the list continues... 2.- Everything Breaks (Sometime) 3.- Don't (Version Live At MuchMusic) 4.- Nicotine Love 5.- Never Trust You Pink Fleshy Heart To A Carnivore (Carnivore) 6.- Emily 7.- Barcelona 8.- Near You Always 9.- Last Night 10.- Pieces Of You (A special part in the song, that's very personal to me, and so true) Well, those are the songs of jewel that have really shocked/affected/changed me someway somehow...they are powerful and each one have a special meaning to me, what's important it's not only the lyric itself, but the effect the song have on you, the day you listen to it, something must be happening, so that song marks the momment, to make it eternal, that's one of the things we always forget. I hope we all be ok with me sharing this, and will be enthusiastic to do the same, since I would love to see other choices.
