( I dunno if it was posted that it was supposed to come on or not..guess I'm not paying attention sometimes) Just so happened that I was sitting in front of the teleV & *Bling* the announcer dude said it was coming on next! But the weird thing is that it said- "staring *Jewel*" , but I only remember seeing *Jewel* sing like that one time. Did I miss it or something? ~Tamarrah, Student Social Worker Angel - -Fairydawn1@aol.com said- "Ok...maybe I have been out of it awhile, but what exactly is this??? I saw Jewel on this Trans-Siberian Orchestra show. I am not sure what channel, but they showed Jewel singing Christmas music while a young teen runaway (girl) watched from the side of the stage. Is this old or new? Did anyone see this?" ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 21 Dec 2000 00:40:35 -0800 (PST) From: kevin maguire Subject: [EDA] any one going... any one going to see steve Poltz and the Rugburns this DEC. and Jan down in San Diego>? _______________________________________________________ Send a cool gift with your E-Card http://www.bluemountain.com/giftcenter/ ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 21 Dec 2000 07:47:21 EST From: JimboUK999@aol.com Subject: [EDA] Re: Who the fuck is jewel? /EastWest Records In a message dated 20/12/00 06:15:05 GMT Standard Time, owner-jewel-digest@smoe.org writes: << > I expect people with a general love of music > not to have a clue who Jewel is, but it's really > sad when members of Jewel's UK record > company, EastWest Records, don't know > who she is either. He said nothing was scheduled until > at least the second half of 2001. > > Chris. >>Why is it a surprise that she has nothing scheduled until at least the second half of 2001? She's only BEGINNING work on her new album in January, and usually 5 months are required from the time an album finishes recording to the time it's released (for the record companies to figure out promotion etc etc).... I doubt any of us can expect a new album until late 2001. >> In support of Chris, just because Jewel will (probably) be recording early next year, it doesn't definately mean nothing will be happening at all in the UK, if you don't ask you'll never know for sure, thats what news is all about!! and lets face it things never seem reliable with JewelCorp. On EastWest Records, about 2 years ago I sent a letter to someone there, i can't remember who it was that replied, but he seemed pretty clued up and even sent me some free stuff, Maybe some people have left?????
