How else can you explain why it's so fucked up? This is ludicrous people. Ohh I forgot you guys aren't to smart. This is so ridiculous that it is laughable. I am tired of reading all these long e-mails about how Jewel is mean. SO what. I wouldn't care if she was a total 100% bitch. I would just stop listening to her, but the fact is that jewels not. NO MATTER HOW SMART YOU THINK YOU ARE YOU DON'T KNOW THE CIRCUMSTANCES INVOLVING THE DISABLED GIRL. SO STOP BEING DUMB FUCKS. Unless your Jewels panties you don't know what is going on throughout her day. Even if you really are Jewels panties then you still don't know what's gone on throughout her whole day. Several of you have written asking questions about these photos. The two main question and answers are: Question #1: <> Yes, she's a beginner but she is playing piano. She's written a new one on piano, which she has been performing live. I've yet to hear that one, but I plan on logging all of last week's shows over the next few days and will update the "recent setlists" page at Jewel's site asap. Question #2: <> That's a shot of Steve singing with his friend Tim Flannery, who is the third base coach with the San Diego Padres and has a local band of his own. Enjoy the new photos! SESAME STREET MUSIC Many of today's biggest pop stars can trace their musical roots to the very same neighborhood -- a place called Sesame Street. And on Tuesday, VH1 takes a look at three decades of Sesame Street music on Greatest TV Moments: Sesame Street Music A-Z (8 p.m. ET/PT). The on-hour special spotlights songs by Garth Brooks, the Carpenters, Gloria Estefan, Goo Goo Dolls, Hootie and the Blowfish, Johnny Cash, Little Richard, Menudo/Ricky Martin, Melissa Etheridge, N'Sync, R.E.M., Paul Simon, James Taylor, Smokey Robinson, Stevie Wonder and Patti LaBelle. In addition, Ricky Martin, Goo Goo Dolls, Melissa Etheridge, N'Sync, R.E.M., Stevie Wonder, Gloria Estefan, Paul Simon, Garth Brooks, Queen Latifah and Ben Stiller talk about their appearances on "Sesame Street," while Mariah Carey, Bon Jovi and Jewel talk about the show's influence on them. - - I received this in a 'Rock n Roll News' list I belong to. My recollection of meeting all but one of those celebrities was highly enjoyable - that they stopped, chatted, joked, whinged about their record company (in BNL's case) and were generally pleasant, polite, and if they were in a hurry, then they either signed or didn't, and apologised and headed off with a smile. Now, I don't expect anything of an artist - if I meet them and they sign or don't, that's fine - as long as they're pleasant enough. Doesn't matter that Tori Amos has had more than 5 top selling albums and worldwide fame... she meets *every last fan* rain or shine, before every gig - in my experience (certainly in the UK - I believe there are more people who attend her meet 'n' greets in the US) - poses for photos, talks, signs, does whatever she can to make those fans happy - she's written songs that I consider inspirational, too. The fact remains that without the fans, Jewel is nothing. If we stop going to the shows and buying the records, then she doesn't get a cent. I think that's worth something, even if it's just politeness to fans - because that costs nothing, not even her time. It's difficult to take someone who sings "we are everyday angels" or "I'm sensitive" when she's being impolite and unpleasant to her fans. All I ask is that she practices what she preaches, which I don't think is too much to ask. Somebody wrote me back saying "Who Cares?". This struck me as rather ironic. Don't you think it's funny that one of the FEW posts actually concerning jewel as a musician was recieved with such contempt? Surely Jewel's music should be our primary topic of conversation. I don't understand why we're still tolerating this insipid argument over whether or not Jewel is MEAN. It has become redundant to the point where I just don't READ the posts anymore.. and they are ENDLESS. will we never get beyond this? I mean the validity of the original post was questioned by the boyfriend of the crippled girl. Obviously the circumstances were such that it was RIGHT for Jewel not to have come out to greet her fans. Why must this discussion continue? ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 21 Nov 2000 19:09:02 EST From: EastAngelEDA@aol.com Subject: Re: [EDA] stupid eda's in florida Okay...that was one of the rudest posts yet.
