But u also have to think in jewel's perspective and no only our own as fans. I understand that i can be hard living a life like hers. I mean she's in the spotlight a lot and i know if i was her, it would really have an effect on how not only i view people and the world around me, but also how i treat people. It's not easy living a life like she is, especally concidering, where she came from. So go a little easy on her. personally, i don't want to think of jewel as being a mean person, but she IS human and we have to respect the fact that there is two sides to everyone, even our beloved jewel. She was Killed by > her Fan club president manager lady, a person that was ripping > Selena off, > something Salazar (sp) At least thats what i remember, and remember from > the movie........ Selena was killed by her fan club president manager, Yolanda : true ! But everything was about her (Yolanda) and not her fans. Selena loved her fans. She would give autographs and stuff. But she was killed by Yolanda who was totally jealouse and who took money from fans and never sent them the pictures they all paid for.. So I guess it has nothing to do with Jewel's story. Jewel should have a fan club president, but that's another story !! I wouldn't think that if you guys had the stardom Jewel did you would be able to appear at every concert and say hi to the fans. You just probably couldn't imagine, that after singing for a lot of people, who you are trying to satisfy, that you could go out and say "hi." I know that I wouldn't. I would be too exhausted. Even if I had promised to fans. I think Jewel realizes, if she promised for that matter, that she probably would lose a few fans. But um...would you stop being a fan if your favorite artist or close to favorite artist, didn't keep her/his promise? I wouldn't be upset because I realize that artists have a lot of pressure on them and a lot of expectations. We deal with it everyday. We can't make EVERYONE happy. It just isn't human. :) :) Feel free to write back to me, about your opinions. Jewel's bio was recently updated and we've just added a new video clip of Jewel and Rosie O'Donnell, singing "Face Of Love," to the site. (This video clip can be found right on the calendar and Rosie's charity CD, featuring this track, will soon be available at the Jewel Store.) You'll also find links to Jewel's NetAid Webcast, which is available now. JMerch has added many holiday specials and new items to the Jewel Store this week. There's too many to mention but among them are the Jewel Signature Model Taylor Guitar at the lowest price ever featured. Also, this year's Jewel Christmas Ornament is in! You'll find many limited quantity combination specials going on right now. We are also featuring something that will please serious collectors out there. For a limited time, JMerch will have the rarest of all Jewel's CDs available in several holiday package deals. These extremely rare CDs, titled "Jeweltide Carrolls" (Jewel Kilcher/Lenedra Carroll - get it?), were produced in 1998 and were mailed to Lenedra's and Jewel's friends and associates as their personal Seasons Greetings. In addition to a humorous holiday greeting, this CD contains rare studio versions of "Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer" and "I Wonder As I Wander," sung totally a cappella by Jewel and Lenedra. It comes in a gatefold photo sleeve with seasonal artwork. Other than a HGH fundraising auction held last year, this is the first time this CD has ever been offered to the public.
