["Tish Lily" ] Re: [EDA] People who suck and sick stories [JusAgapAd@aol.com] Re: [EDA] People who suck and sick stories [Laurel ] Re: [EDA] People who suck and sick stories [Scott Evans ] Re: [EDA] People who suck and sick stories ["~*~Sandy~*~" Subject: [EDA] is this list still about Jewel? okay I signed up for this list so I could hear about what people have heard about Jewel or any tour dates and such, but now all I get is people ranting and raving at each other about who likes this Jewel song and who doesn't. I don't mind people saying a song sucks, if thats the way they feel than that is the way they feel, but if someone else likes the same song you don't have to go off saying that they are kissing Jewel's ass. I doubt it. Some people like things that other people don't. Its called life. So keep up the constuctive critism, thats good, especially if Jewel or someone in touch with her happens to read this digest, but don't go on an all out hate fest just because someone doesn't like your point of view on a song. The only reason this charade has gone on so long is because everybody keeps bringing it up as if not liking a Jewel song is "wrong". She has almost 200 of them for god sakes, I doubt any of you would like all of them. So no more opinion bashing, just say "thats nice, but I think...", its a whole lot simpler, so if you don't like what I have to say, good for you, but I think this post could really benefit if they just happen to read this extremely long and boring e-mail. Sincerely, Lindsay a Jewel fan (obviously) _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. Ah was figgerin' this here list to be smooth as butter and friendly as all get out, but lately it seems like everyone's fightin' with their mothers and themselves for the sake of fightin'! This Sean character's got a mission it seems to wake you people up and everyone has a problem with it one way or another! Sure, it's only his opinion that you may disagree with, but that's just it! An opinion! If y'all figure to get all riled up but some boy's irate musings, then it sure seems like y'all don't have enough stress in your little bleak lives! Cast your opinion in an orderly manner without resortin' to name-calling or this little list here ain't worth a damn! Like the good ol' Bible says, "Only let someone without sin throw the first rock," which basically means that no one should be throwin' their granny's shit let alone words that fling like knives through the air! But enough of all that, Ah've got a sick story! The very first time Ah saw Jewel, Ah was 12 and it was a great show! My mom and I had a fight, but to make up with me, she decided to take me to a Jewel show, because she knew how much I liked her! Well, Jewel was an absolute doll and had this really funny story about how she felt bad about being bitchy lately, but she couldn't help it, seein' as how she was on the rag an' all! That story got a real laugh out of the audience and everyone seemed to have a good ol' time the whole night! But lo and behold, when Ah got home that night, the white shorts Ah was wearin' were forever ruined because Ah got my first period that night! What a funny little coincindence! My first Jewel show and Aunt Flo in the same night! Isn't Jewel the best?!? She's so kewel! Weeeeeeee!!!!! :) Well, that's all Ah wanted to vent to y'all. Give someone you love a hug today! See you!!! I took what she said a totally different way, and I don't think she meant gay in a demeaning manner. Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought she was just "asking" if he was gay and then SEPERATELY commenting on the way he talks, and saying it was annoying since this has been brought up before. I don't believe she connected the two whatsoever. I guess she could answer that much better than me, but just re-read it over, and perhaps you'll see why I assumed she wasn't being demeaning nor referring to the way he/she talks as having to do with their sexuality. ~ Sandy - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Laurel" To: Cc: Sent: Tuesday, October 17, 2000 12:52 PM Subject: Re: [EDA] People who suck and sick stories > Whoa....what is that gay comment supposed to mean? However I don't think that there are very many in my area and I certainly can't travel very far for a project. The most I'd be able to comfortably drive would be two hours for a day project and maybe four hours for a weekend project. I have to stay relatively close to home though because I am responsible for my elderly grandmother and need to be able to drive home quickly in case of an emergency.
