Just though u guy might wannna know. Some food for thought: It would be very easy for radio stations to assume that because Jewel has been performing many many new songs lately that she is working on a new album. Remember that the people at the radio station probably don't know how many songs Jewel has that are currently "unreleased". We know that just because Jewel is prolific and is constantly writing songs, it doesn't mean these songs are ever going to end up on a formal, studio recorded, company released album. Secondly, don't you think that if Jewel was recording a new album right now, we would be some of the first people to know? I'd like to think we'd know before the local radio stations do. Also, it seems that Jewel is kind of busy right now and wouldn't have the time to be recording a new album. I wonder if he was an EDA.... Or man.... even if he wasn't, wouldn't that be something to pick up a copy of her book, and read about myself? LOL! What about the people asking (begging... demanding..) for autographs? Those people were just plain rude, especially that girl.... like jewel had an obligation to sign something for that girl, just so she could turn around and profit? Oh, and to anyone who would think that much less of Jewel if she ever happened to get drunk (remembering that whole conversation a few weeks back)... I don't recommend you reading CDTD. Its not drinking, but something else she tried once. And frankly, I don't care. I don't think of her any less than I think of her now. She's still a wonderful person despite that. cymbie tree hugger - -- when night falls it's dawn one must reach for. - -a. camus ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 12 Oct 2000 01:43:08 -0400 From: "Kris Kelley" Subject: [EDA] whoa I think that the whole "free music" issue should be like politics and not be discussed with friends.....as for the people who label things wrong....that comment had nothing to do with the fact that the music was pirated, but rather a comment as to the fact that some people just don't' really listen to music....IE I downloaded the Jewel...Leaving on a Jet Plane sand was SO EXCITED cause I love that song...and it turned out to be Chantal Kreveisuk (sp?) and I was like...do people ACTUALLY Think that this is JEWEL??? I know I never post but all my friends are out and I have to share with someone!! My mom finally gave me my 16th birthday present ...my 16th birthday was horrible , I sat at home by myself. My mom was out of town with her boyfriend and my bro went to Adventure Island and all my friends had to work so it sucked.,ecspecially since it was my 16th and you know those are supposed to be kind of special for some reason. My mom promised me a big bash but never followed through. My birthday was in March by the way and now its October and she finally has given me something about eight months late. She bought me a diamond and saphire ring :) its gorgeous . Of course it doesnt make up for her absence on my b-day or the lack of any gift till eight months later but...at least she got me something right? Actually I think shes feeling bad for doing that to me because now she is really sick and I had to drop all my parties and plans and sit here and take care of her every need because she cant get out of bed. Which I dont mind , its just different and I`m kind of bored and lonely because shes resting and there is absolutely nothing to do. But at least I have my Jewel music to play :) Which reminds me does anyone have the lyrics to Viloet Eyes because i would really like to get them, thanx so much. Well i just had to share thanks for listening. Love y`all Katie(Chip) ------------------------------ End of jewel-digest V5 #345 ***************************
