Hey guys, I'm sure you've all seen digital postcards of some type (ie regards.com, americangreetings.com, etc). Well, Gerrit's JEWEL Page has had Jewel eCards for some time. Unfortunately, it stopped working some time ago because Regards.com changed their format. Well.. they're back! =) I found another site that is set up specifically to allow us to use our own images. :) They're now incorporated into Gerrit's JEWEL Page and you can use them once again. http://www.endor.org/jewel/eCards Please let me know if you have any other high quality Jewel pictures you would recommend for the site. Thanks, Gerrit ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 1 Oct 2000 19:41:56 EDT From: KNicky3116@aol.com Subject: [EDA] SJC: NYC this Saturday Hey Angels, A friend of mine is going to NYC to see Jewel this weekend, and she wanted to know if you guys knew what it would be like. For example, are people going to be lined up at the crack of dawn to get in? She'd like to know if it's going to be mobbed or not, etc. I told her that I thought it would probably be a little hectic, but nothing too life-threatening :) If anyone has any clue what this is going to be like, please let me know...OR if anyone has plans to go on Saturday...what time are you going? thanks, Nicky :) angel on horseback ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 1 Oct 2000 22:14:40 EDT From: PoPoVaTwiLiGhT@aol.com Subject: [EDA] barnes and noble hey angels does anyone know the exact streets b&n is located? there's so many of them in the city and i just wanted to clarify the street address i don't wanna end up at the wrong place later on :) jenn angel watching over you ------------------------------ Date: 01 Oct 2000 23:23:57 -0500 From: jewelk@UDel.Edu Subject: [EDA] attention angels I'm writing in regards to an angel who asked me to write her something concerning her friend, please respond, I accidentally deleted your e-mail address hazy Visit the official Beck Website at http://www.beck.com ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 02 Oct 2000 00:48:01 -0400 From: Miguel Gonzalez Subject: [EDA] Jewel NYC Barnes & Noble signing From a long-time NYC EDA, and current part-time NYC B&N employee Essentials: Saturday, October 7th at 2:00 PM Barnes and Noble, Union Square East 17th Street between Broadway and Park Avenue South 14th Street Union Square Subway station serves the N, R, L, 4, 5, 6 lines the bookstore is located on the northern boarder of Union Square Park The event will most likely in the 4th floor Event Space COME EARLY. I repeat, COME EARLY (the store opens at 9:00 AM) No, this does not mean you will have to line up before the store opens, HOWEVER, if the event space reaches capacity, THEY WILL CLOSE OFF THE EVENT I repeat, THERE IS A CHANCE YOU WILL GET SHUT OUT OF THE EVENT. Secondly, I highly doubt (anyone who knows for sure can correct me) Jewel will be signing any copies at the event. It is a reading and a question and answer session. Much like the release of ANWA at the Virgin Megastore in NYC way back when, I expect the books to be either pre-signed or have a bookplate signature sticker on the inside. I have no idea if there is a limit to the number of books you can purchase, but in the past there have been limits of one book per person attending. I'm sure they will make the decision on-site as they see how many people show up. Apologies for any inaccuracies, but I have much experience with B&N events at my own store (Lincoln Triangle) and at events in Union Square itself. ------------------------------ End of jewel-digest V5 #322 ***************************
