I agree that people should not be sending others tapes for free. It's just not cool. A blank tape or a few dollars for the cost of the postage is appropriate. However there are new eda's who have no angelfood whatsoever,and of course are going to want some and some for wahtever reason may not be able to trade tapes. They may not have any to trade,or they may be,like alot of us,broke. Derrick is right in that if you can't do tape trades you shouldn't. And if you cant afford to lose whatever it may cost you in doing a trade you shouldnt do it. I know that there are some unfortunate people that get ripped off. However I want to say this: Would it be such a horrible thing to extend a kindness to a new person to get them a tape or two to get started? I mean for those that are able. Now I dont mean like send 10 tapes for free,no. Like 1,no more than 3 for free. Or you could work out a deal that you give them the tape(s) and then they either make a trade with someone else and mail you a copy of something they traded,or send you a blank tape or some money. Now like I said if people can't afford to lose the money in case something shoudl happen and they end up not being repaid ,should not do it.
