OK I'm gonna do this... I live in Europe, so I'm going to send the first 3 European EDAs who write to me and have no angelfood (please don't lie or anything like that) a copy of one of my angelfood tapes for free... Again, please don't write to me if you have angelfood already - I'm doing this in Mykle's honour, and, although I didn't personally know him, this is a great way to honour his memory. Thanks, Tom ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 15 Sep 2000 09:09:29 EDT From: NeOblCar@aol.com Subject: * njc: more Mykle thoughts I tried to post a little rememberance on Mykle on the guestbook at the memorial web site, but was having some difficulty. That's ok, because most of the people who would appreactiate this are right here on this list. So here goes ... At one of our Bearville gatherings Mykle brought a handsome bottle of cognac. We camp out in the woods of the Catskills and as it got dark he passed out cups and many of us sat and had a drink with Mykle. I don't remember much of what we said sitting by the fire sharing cognac, but I do remember the feeling of being with him and enjoying his spirit. We finished that bottle before we ever finished the conversation. He was a compassionate person, a kind soul and I know he'll be in my memories every time I drink cognac. If EDA ever makes it into the dictionary, next to the defintiion would be a picture of Mykle. -- Rob ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 15 Sep 2000 10:05:21 -0700 From: Mike Connell Subject: * FWD: JeweLink September 15, 2000 Here is the latest issue of JeweLink, directly from Jewel's "people", if you want to get a copy of this directly as each issue comes out, you can sub- scribe to it by sending a blank email to join-jewelink@list.jeweljk.com ******************************************** JeweLink - The Official Jewel Communications List ******************************************** Hi all, This week, Jewel's website is featuring brand new photos, shot last Friday evening, at Jewel's concert at San Diego's "Street Scene" festival. Visit the jeweljk.com photo page and enjoy these new images. Nothing else new to report, so we'll conclude today with another one of your questions answered by Lenedra. Our "Ask The Manager" question today was submitted by JeweLink member Paul Stagani, who asks: I really enjoyed seeing Jewel in concert last summer. Her band really rocked. Will Jewel be keeping the same band for touring? Will they do the studio work for her next album? Lenedra replies: Jewel hopes to keep the same band for her next album tour. It depends on their availability. Same for working in the studio on the next album. Nothing is planned yet, so it's too soon to tell. She has been performing with her band for some of the one-offs this year, when they are available, so that they all stay in sync with each other. -Lenedra That's it for today. Enjoy your weekend! I was looking for a copy of my first Jewel concert, and he sent it to me. He wanted nothing in return. Wouldn't give me his address for me to send blanks or postage. All he asked was that one day I extend the same kindness to another EDA. As soon as I received my tapes, and an extra one, I passed the kindness on. Mykle exemplies the EDA spirit. I have extended my Jewelstock angelfood contest until Sunday. (I did this because I haven't been home to write a "This is the final day" type e-mail, so I'm giving fair warning).
