Not not realease and singles or anything - just an album to keep us happy before a new one comes out. Like maybe only sell it at Jeweljk.com and only release so many copies. That would be so cool and a nice treat for us fans. Everyone e-mail and call and wirte to atlantic records and tell them we want it released! Next, I was a red lobster this evening. They played Jupiter, the like 15 minutes later they played Barcelona, and then when i was leaving they played Face of Love. They have a dj there so she musta liked Jewel. Those of you in milwaukee, it was the one on Mayfair Road (hwy. 100) between the mayfair mall and best buy. Nice posting! I realize that those songs don't reflect where jewel is at now, (and its been forever since she's done any of those songs live), but it seems like such a waste to NOT do anything with those recordings. Those recordings are this huge chunk missing from Jewel's career between POY and Spirit. Those songs were a big part of her career too, IMO. And even if it wasn't an official album release, and they just made a limited edition, collectors thing.... and sell it exclusively on the Jewel website, or just to members of the official Jewel list...(didn't the Fumblers, Sarah Maclaclan's list get an exclusive CD?) it wouldn't be so much a waste. Or even if they just made them B-sides, along with all the other songs that didn't make it to POY and Spirit? and put them on singles, or bonus tracks on import CDs? There are all these wasted tracks that are sitting on a shelf in Atlantic, getting dusty and waiting to be heard. Yet they use live versions of songs that have already been heard a million times as B-sides. I'd like to see something done with all those lost recordings.... but chances are, it will never happen. cymbie tree hugger - -- when night falls it's dawn one must reach for. - -a. camus ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 28 Aug 2000 09:17:54 +1200 From: Nick Wong Subject: * Jewel's X-men input hi all i was wondering if anyone's seen x-men and hear a rather familiar tune. I got a hold of this track, it's wolverine's theme and someoneis singing the melody of hands to words that are rather lame to say the least. Man i was rather angry and yet amused that someone has taken a song written by jewel and made a meal of it.
