I am a witch. im not evil. i am what some would concider a new ager (i dont, as i have been doing this for almost 10 years) im 18. i wear crystals, i do the occassional spell, i do blessings, read tarot, plams, tea leaves, live in peace and i meditate (i totally recommend). I enjoy christian music. i enjoy Jewels music (as does almost all.. im pretty sure on that...) Jewel has become increasingly spiritual yes, but not always leaning towards christian... she has always been a spiritual person (at least as i see it.. i mean, i regard Under The Water as a spiritual song... ) look for symbolicness and it can be found abundantly. im not an older list member.. i have just hit my i think 8th month on here. but i do feel like my opinion does count and i enjoy hearing from the.. how do i put it... more expirienced list members. They hold alot and often can answer things i cant.. like where the best angel food is. i think that somewhere, we are all kinda spiritual.. unless you are a devote atheist.. which is cool.. my religions teacher was, we all at some point have been just a little spiritual or at least wondered about it. Maybe jewel is checking out her own spiritual path and its entering her writing. The question is...how did they decide which song goes on who's album..."Impala" is all Steve - no doubt...but what about "I Thought I Saw You", "YWMFM", or "Silver Lining"? Jewel makes an awesome back-up singer too...even more so than Poltz...BTW...in Jewel's rare rock version of YWMFM (y'know featured in the first video directed by Sean Penn)is that Steve that says, "I know you hate it when i leave the light on."?...it sounds like crap...heh.
