Apologies for the delay. MrBB ;-) ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 17 May 2000 11:39:11 -0400 From: Mike Connell Subject: * Online Jewel auction - correct web address/URL Hi folks :-) Quite likely due to a miscommunication error somewhere during the planning phase, the previously posted URL for the Jewel auction that starts today was in error. The correct URL is http://www.auctions.com/jeweljk.asp (the previously posted one just had jewel.asp, not jeweljk.asp) Happy hunting :-) Mike :-) ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 17 May 2000 12:17:32 -0400 From: Mike Connell Subject: * Online Jewel memorabila auction - update :-) Hi folks :-) Me again. Just got off the phone with MrBB (who, like me, was inundated with emails about the problems/delays/whatever with the auction). As I posted a few minutes ago, and concurring with what Alan posted just prior to that, the auction was delayed, but it IS up and running now, and at a different web address than he had previously posted (he was sent the wrong URL). Alan also wanted me to mention that all of the links from www.jeweljk.com to the auction site have been fixed :-) Again, the correct web address/URL for the auction of a whole bunch of Jewel memorabilia is at http://www.auctions.com/jeweljk.asp By the way, if you don't see anything you might want to take a crack at, stop back there NEXT Wednesday the 24th AND the following Wednesday the 31st, as a whole new lineup of Jewel memorabilia is to be unveiled those two days. (Three weeks of auctions, divided into three one-week segments...a NEW auction each week) There's some pretty neat and some VERY rare stuff there right now. Take a peek. Here's where my problem stands... I know if I say Jewel has even sold out a little, you're all gonna jump on me, and I'm not here to insult... It's gotta be incredibly difficult to remain "sell out free" in the industry. The woman has my utmost respect, after all, in 1999 didnt she have like one week off or something crazy like that!? But why, during her tour, did she play such large venues... it wasn't like she was selling out. She should have stuck to a smaller audience, she seems to be more herself at these smaller things. I saw her at Jones beach for the first time last year and I never imagined her concert could have been so good, she was really funny and full of personality. but when you see her in interviews and the like, she doesnt seem so full of personality. In fact, she seems lacking. Those of us who saw her on storytellers, or on the today show, or probably at any concert know she's got booming personality and wit.... why doesnt she show it to the non-believers??? Maybe she's just shy. ok i'm gonna go put on my metal armor and prepare for people to jump on my back about this one... i didnt mean any harm, just my opinion-of-late... love liz the barefoot angel ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 17 May 2000 09:06:51 PDT From: "Darwin Cuenca" Subject: * About CDNOW's review of Spirit hi there angels, i do agreed to the other eda's who strongly opposed the review. i think she (who ever she is) has no rights to say that things to jewel because she didnt even knew her well, even the title of the songs are wrong. so how come will she able to review the album well. she really loose my temper. hey, anyone watched Miss universe pageant, i just saw that miss norway really looks like jewel. she adding up to jewel's look alikes. thats all bye. angel who needs a bike I'd rather see the world from another angle. We are everyday angels. Be careful with me 'cause I'd like to stay that way. - I'm Sensitive by Jewel Kilcher ------------------------------ End of jewel-digest V5 #142 ***************************
