I have been doing some show preparation and have noticed some of the artists influences. I have run across one that stuck out in my mind. Her name is Alicia Eliott(I'm Diggin It), her birthday is on Christmas and not only that but she lists our own Jewel as an influence and others as well. Jewel was a big influence though, I just thought I would share the info since all the talk of influences lately. I was wondering if any one could verify this statement I saw on a Jewel website it was 25 things you didn't know abound Jewel the third one was 3.) Jewel is dyslexic. most probably the reason I'm curious is that I am dyslexic as well. Because of it I can't read or write very well at all. The only way I can write this letter to you all is by this type by talking program and the only way I can read is by using the computer to read fore me. but thats enough about me. if you do know if Jewel is dyslexic is it with numbers or words like me? Thanks a lot you guys and have a great day ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 02 Mar 2000 09:53:42 -0600 (CST) From: Tien Dang Subject: * NJC :I"m going to Austin! Hi all you lovely EDA's :-) Since our new place is finally at least sort of in order and I have a little more time to play with here and there, I thought I'd offer to make some angelfood for hungry EDA's. Since I'm making this offer primarily for those who have little or no angelfood, here's what I'm gonna do. To anyone who responds requesting angelfood, I'm going to send a list of maybe 10 of what I consider to be the better recordings and/or must haves rather than my complete list (including one Poltz recording) - this will save me the time and hassle of so many different j-cards etc.... As always, you must supply the blank tapes and all postage - instructions will be sent with the list of offered angelfood. In the event that I get swamped with e-mails (like there's any doubt), I'm going to set a limit to the first 20 people who respond. Once those 20 are done and sent, I will make another offer - please be patient in waiting for a return e-mail and angelfood list. Since I haven't been trading much in the last couple years, I'd also be willing to consider trades for more recent recordings if anyone is interested :-) For obvious reasons, this list will not include recordings already offered by the AngelfoodBank :-) Tammy :-) ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 1 Mar 2000 21:27:53 +1100 From: "Angela" Subject: * Sad Lights This might be a bit of a hard ask, but does anyone out there know the words to Sad Lights? Thanking you, Angel-a. xxx ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 02 Mar 2000 21:44:00 -0500 From: MrBB Subject: * MrBB- Message From Clearwater To The EDAs Hi all, I'm here to pass along the following message to all the EDAs from Jewel's brother Shane. Read on & I'll be back following Shane's message. Here ya go: _________________________________________________ BIG WET KISSES! The American Greetings "Celebrity Smooch" was so successful that combined with the EDA Christmas gift to Jewel, we now have enough money for a new community water site! We are currently researching potential communities here in the US for our next site, and we want to dedicate it to all of you who took the time to make a difference. We have some really great ideas about how you can all participate in this new site, and can't wait to make it happen. Shane Kilcher ClearWater Project _________________________________________________ Hi, now it's me again. I also want to tell you more great related news. There's been some confusion about the "Celebrity Smooch" procedure & it so happens you all did even better than we originally thought. It turns out that each celebrity's represented organization recieved up to $10,000 for their smooches. The $25,000 grand prize for the celebrity with the most smooches was IN ADDITION to that. So... You actually helped raise $35,000 for HGH's Clearwater Project!! Cool, huh?! That combined with all the EDA Christmas Gift contributions totals almost $39,000. Incredible! As Clearwater determines the next location & this next community water site progresses, we'll keep the EDAs informed, so you can enjoy hearing about the great results happening at the new water site that many of you helped become a reality. There will also be information available at the ClearWater Project website. I know there are countless questions out there & they will be answered in time, so please be patient. We will definitely keep The EDAs informed. In the meantime, you can visit clearwaterproject.com for more information on current projects and for what you can do to help. Thanks again to everyone!!
