be on Nickelodeon's Nick News on march 9th... also I was wondering if any 
angel here has any tape from the spirit 99 tour of any new songs like Break 
me, So Close To Heaven, Grey Matter ect... I would be very greatful if

It's been a long time since I posted to the list, so I probably seem like a
stranger.
Anyway, I just got caught up on reading the digest, and was very pleasantly
surprised to see that Christina Aguilera was once an EDA.  Besides Jewel,
she runs a very close second to being my favorite artist.  I think it's
unfortunate
that she is often dismissed as a "teenybopper," because a lot of people are
really missing out on a wonderful singer blessed with a great voice.  Who
knows, maybe the "Angel in a Bottle" will return someday.  :)

Angels,
     I was looking through the 1996 archives...for Harrison posts, because
someone recamended it.  And I found this one post about t-shirts.  This girls
meantions a t-shirt that on the fron says "F#%* U! I'M SENSITIVE."  and on
the back says Jewel.

Does anyone out there HAVE this t-shirt?  I would love a t-shirt like that.
Too bad I didn't have one back in 1996 right?

Hi Angels,
I just want to pick up on the suggestion by Matrix that we "do a
network type thingy to distribute copies of the
Exhale video". I think that is a good idea.
Now, I'm in Australia and if I could get a copy of the video I can
get it converted to PAL and then make copies for EDAs here. So if
anyone with a copy is prepared to go through the hassle of sending a
tape overseas (naturally  I'll provide the blank tape and all postage
costs), please contact me.

There is no official Jewel fan club. In the past, the J-team has said
something along the lines they do not believe in one.

For a long time now (4 years) I know they have had a newsletter type thingy
in mind, and the last I know it is still something that they want to make
happen. It almost did happen back in 1996, but a computer crash took the
whole data base of subscriber names and addresses with it :-(

In the mean time, there IS a fan mail postal address you can write, it is
listed in the liner notes of the Pieces Of You CD and it is also on my web
page at http://www.quackquack.net/jewel where there are many other basic
Jewel and list related questions answered.

Well, I know for a fact we have some very talented people on this list.

If I had to bet money right now on an EDA we might all hear about in the
future, I would bet on Kat MacCasland :-)

Kat is a sweet but shy little 16 or 17 year old EDA now in her first year
on a partial scholarship at Interlochen, which is Jewel's old performing
arts high school in Michigan ( http://www.interlochen.org ).

I know Kat was performing in some coffeehouses and the like in the area of
her hometown of Monticello NY  (kind of close to Woodstock), and had won a
number of "competitions" for poetry and guitar playing/singing, one of
which she won was judged by the legendary foilksinger Pete Seeger.

So more of you can relate to her, for those of you who were at the EDA
Bearsville 97 "reunion", Kat is the girl who showed up late Saturday night
with her father. (she and her father had come to Woodstock in the
afternoon, could not find us, drove all the way home (90 miles), looked up
the directions on my web page, and drove back and found our campsite in the
pitch black). Unfortunately, no, she was too shy and I could not coax her
into singing for us. :-(

So, just remember that name...Kat MacCasland.... you might hear it in a few
years on the airwaves or at a future Lilith Fair revival.
