Is there software that can take away the vocals to make the song an instrumental? I'm doing a guitar demonstration in public speaking class, and this would come in handy. I am also thinking of doing a guitar demonstration for my French class presentation. I was wondering (since I know there are French EDAs out there) if any of Jewel's songs, when translated into French, sound similar..in beats and syllables. If anyone can help with any of this, please email me. What!! and it wasn't because she went to a gay bar. It was because she was flicking him off, because everybody said he threw the necklace, but he didn't. Some other stupid person did. The guy who called her a sell out was right in front of me. he was on a lot of drugs and was crying a lot. So jewel also asked him if he was okay and that he shouldn't cry anymore and everybody should leave him alone. It wasn't that she couldn't hear in the right sound monitor it was that it was really high pitched. Also i took that same picture at the same time. I have it in my files, it was when she was singing, not cursing at the sound guy, she did that off the mike. I actually have the whole concert on video as well. I have the original notes I made written down somewhere, but I believe that Gerrit has put it up on his site. If you haven't visited there, it is a great resource for Jewel TAB's and many other things. http://www.endor.org/jewel/ The TAB that is up there is not the full TAB, but a skeleton of the verse, chorus, prechorus, bridge. There are some little fills and whatnot that Jewel plays, but this will get you a real good lead on it. Hello to all, I hope everyone is doing lovely, and that all you eastcoasters made it through the snow ok. I'm writing my periodic post to the list to try to flush out any North Carolina EDAs (or those from surrouding areas who may want to link up with us). I know this list is constantly acquiring a larger & ever changing group, so I try to reach as many as I can. :) We had a small beach cleanup gathering last fall, & would like to get plans in motion for spring (not that far away, thank goodness!) gatherings. We also have one among us who is traveling to the Dominican Republic for Habitat for Humanity, so we may be planning some fundraisers to that end. Either way, I'm sure we'll have lots of fun opportunities to get together & make new friends & maybe do something productive too--but it's sure to be a great experience. So if you'd like to get involved with our group down here, please send me a private email & we'll welcome you with open arms! :) Hugs, Becca Blessed Be :) Rebecca Smith doggymommy@hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 27 Jan 2000 19:07:52 -0500 From: Lynn Casper Subject: * life uncommon video question hi i was at the music store in the mall the other day and saw a video of jewel: life uncommon ( i think thats what it was) anyways, i was tempted to buy it... is it good and worth the money? also, i was gonna get a steve poltz cd but they were sold out. ok well please email me personally, cuz i get digest and only skim over it. thanx - -lynn aol im: trippkick icq: 17038301 irc: voodoo.tasam.com /whois TriPPy ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 27 Jan 2000 17:45:27 -0800 From: Gerrit Subject: * Gerrit's JEWEL Page Problems - Web Site Not Updatable Hey everyone, For all of you who keep trying to add yourself to the EDA Yearbook or update your entry within it or keep getting multiple e-mails on your birthday (if it was recently) or can't create an account or log into the AVMC or add your site to the Jewel Links list or add an act of kindness to the gift page, please check back next week. The database on my server has been having problems and the people who support the servers which my web site is located on have not yet been able to solve the problem. A few of them have also been snowed in this week so hopefully we'll get it going soon anyway. Gerrit ------------------------------ End of jewel-digest V5 #31 **************************
