I have been replying to these privately. While the PBS network (the United States' Public Broadcasting System) did air it a couple of weekends or so ago, and DOES plan a re-airing on Christmas weekend, it is up to each and every affiliate station throughout the USA as to when THEY will actually air it. They have the right to and DO deviate from the "national" schedule often, especially on weekends when there really is no set national schedule anyway. (for instance, It has not aired in my area yet, it airs on the 18th here). This is how you can best find out when this show will air in your area, either for the first time or a repeat airing or two....... 1) get out your phone book and call your local PBS station. Nothing works better than to talk to the people who know best. I called mine and found out when it airs here in minutes :-) or, if you can't find the stations' listing and you have web access....... 2) Head to http://www.pbs.org and then spot the "Station Finder" field in the top right corner of the screen. Fill in your zip code, click "go" and then you will be taken to a page that shows all of the PBS stations that serve your zip code, their address, phone number, an individual web site for THAT station (if it has one), and in that case, a link to their online TV Schedule. If for some reason you don't know your zip code, or want to find the station/info for an area other than your own (like if you will be in another city for the holidays and want to see when it airs there, like me), just fill in any five digits for the zip code (11111 works fine), click "go" and then at the bottom of the next page you go to you will see a station finder for any state. Choose the state you want, click "show stations" and you are on your way. :-) By utilizing this information, you should be able to find out when the show airs or re-airs in your area. Good luck and enjoy the show :-) Mike :-) P.S. For those that are new here and have no idea what "Sessions At West 54th" is, it is a weekly show on PBS where a musical guest or two struts their stuff. Jewel's was taped in September (over 100 list members and/or guests attended!) and it initially aired two weeks ago on many of the PBS stations. On the show Jewel sings many of the songs on her recently released holiday CD "Joy: A Holiday Collection" and a couple of her hits. * If you are new to the Jewel list and need a helping hand, * or have a burning question about Jewel and/or the list, * The Jewel/EveryDay Angels List Homepage & Guide is at: * http://www.quackquack.net/jewel * Many basic/common Jewel and list questions can be answered there :-) * * If you can't find the answer on the page have any list related * questions, please feel free to email me at ducksoup@quackquack.net * or you can IM me on either of the AOL names below: * DuckOfPrey or WhyADuck55 and/on AOL or AOL Instant Messenger ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 08 Dec 1999 13:38:08 PST From: "Justine L" Subject: * Re: MrBB-Jewel Store Errors-What to do? (In defense of Eric) I just got off the phone with Michael at JMerch, after a phone call with MrBB/Alan. They both agree that Eric's post was misunderstood as follows. Via Alan, Michael at JMerch said, in response to a post by Eric: > No one was ever told to "take it up with your credit card company". In defense of Eric, he never said he was told that by JMerch. His entire post was addressing the list members as "you"....if "you use a credit card" and "it's entirely possible that your card" etc. His exact line was > To make matters worse, JMerch has denied to me that they are having > problems, so you will most likely have to take the matter up with your > credit card company (as I did). He was addressing the list with "you will most likely....", not stating that JMerch told him that. (although I must admit, Eric's post could easily be taken that way though...some EDAs I've chatted with DID take it the wrong way, others did not). I just wanted to give Eric his due. She was unable to perform because her throat was noticeable soar. Because of this, there is a possibility that she will be unable to perform on the Tonight Show this evening. She finished her apearance on STAR at 5:15 and according to the Tonight Show website taping begins at 5:00. Since musical guests usually take the last ten minutes of the 1.5 hour show, that means Jewel has a little over 1 hour to recover if she is to sing on the Tonight Show. I'm sure that if she is able to give a quality performance that Jewel will fight through this. The reason she gave for being sick was she caught her boyfriend and Poltz's hangovers (she was being sarcastic). They were in Las Vegas over the weekend for the rodeo championships and the two guys stayed up late smashing bottles in their hotel room. According to Jewel, Poltz also stripped down in the middle of the casino (while still playing blackjack) because he thought he lost his necklace and he was trying to find it in his clothes. Instead of singing live, Jewel was interviewed on the radio show and they played the following recorded songs: "Hands (Christmas Version)" "WWSYS (from the STAR lounge)" "What's Simple is True" "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" I hope she recovers enough to perform tonight! OK, here's the deal, I was watching A. I was wondering if anyone knows what song this is, because I don't think that I've ever heard of it (Jewel says that she finally figured out where to fit those words in for the song on the video ... so everyone knows what song I mean).
