I got to the today show at about 6 and there were already many people there and i couldnt see so i decided to just head over to coconuts after grabbing a quick bite. So i got online with my guitar...yes i lugged it all the way over there in the rain wearing my blue eda shirt. I quickly met Heather and Eric who are completely awesome...especially because they gave me free food :). They were quite an amusing duo to spend three hours with. Then i briefly met some other EDAs...Pete, John, Jade, Nicole, Tammy....if i forgot anyone i am sorry. So i finally get inside and get up to Jewel and she signs my guitar :) personalized which was cool...but her autograph looks like a j and then a line but thats ok because i know she signed it. I gave her a present with a letter attached and she thanked me and i hope she read it. Then i was interviewed by the Atlantic records camera crew and they told me that i might be on access hollywood or entertainment tonight so if you see an eda on either of those shows it is me!! I think it's a wonderful video with rare footage that i really love. I would have appreciated the footage with Steve and her family around her and to see Jewel driving a car or singing a high ara with her mother in a wonderful kitchen in california . I think a song from her early carreer would have fit the bil very much. Maybe there could come a second release of a video. So far i would really recommend any Jewelfan abroad to get the Jewel video Life uncommon. It's really wonderful and you would really sit down for a sweet hour with Jewel off and on the road. It's a shame that the video isnt' going to be released by Atlantic records Europe. They would really help getting Jewel more known here by releasing it on pal format. I think the labels in europe still doesn't appreciate Jewel too be honest. I put it up the day BEFORE it aired. Yes, I realize that's not a lot of notice, but get used to it. During the next month, with all the movie & album promo going on, we'll often learn schedule details only 24 hours in advance & if you don't want to miss these things, check the website calendar every day. Don't count on me posting every update to the list, because when I do, it generates way too much email & I simply don't have the time for it.
