I asked her to sign my Life Uncommon video cover, which she did. She asked if I got it from the website, and I said, "Yes, from JMerch." She asked if I liked it, and I said I loved it, loved it, loved it. I said I liked the part when she and Steve were singing on the tourbus and asked if she had written the words to that song, where she's singing "I could lie with you for hours and hours and hours" and Steve says, "That's sweet, you should record that". Anyway, seeing Jewel was a thrill to be so up close I could see the whitehead in the crack on the side of her nose. It did not make her look any less beautiful than she is. If she had asked me to pop it for her, I wouuld have. I have such a crush (and yes, I am hetero, but that doesn't stop me from having a little crush on Jewel). Letterman- First of all she looked great, clothes-wise. I was kind of curious to how she was going to dress. But she did look either very sad, or very tired. And it was probably tired. It was kind of wierd that the Letterman band played for her, at least that's what it looked like, it sounded a lot different. And I do think it would have been fun if Nedra would have come to sing along. Today- Yes, I woke up early, and just in time to see it. And I'm very glad I did. She seemed to be in a very good mood, and Winter Wonderland sounded so great. Hands was good too, even though I wish she would have done another song. The waving behind her back thing was soooo cute. I didn't see any EDA signs there, maybe I just missed them, who knows. ;) Ok, that's my review. I wish I could have taped them, but are VCR is broken!! That's ok, even if it was fixed it wouldn't have been able to tape anyway. Christmas is coming, so maybe we'll get it then. Ok, that's it! Wow this was BY FAR the best day of my life. I woke up a 4:30.. not tired at all because I was so excited to meet Jewel.. By the time I got on the train it was about 5:30.. the train took about an hour... My dad and I passed by coconuts at 6:30, there was no one there! But we decided to go by the Today Show.. we got to the Today show right when it was starting.. squeezed our way to the front and AHHH!! I saw Jewel so close.. my dad was holding me so I could see but the security guards kept yelling at us. Security guards always yell at me!! Well anyway, I waved to Jewel [this was during the practice one] and she looked right at me! It was so cool.. she is soo cute!!! So anyway.. we left after the practice thing, and we waited on line for coconuts around 8ish? I met two Jewel fans who are going to join the EDAs [they gave me their e-mail addresses].. I told them about the Today Show and they said they really wish they could've went.. so my dad told them that they said Jewel will be back at 8:30.. so they started going, and I went too.. and we kinda got in there but kinda far back... so once it was over we started heading back over to Coconuts.. my dad saved our spots.. I brought the present that I made for Jewel [a horse and an angel made out of clay in a lil display thing that I made of Alaska].. so I started getting it ready, even though it wasnt awhile till we were going in.. Anyway as I was waiting i saw keithy! [Shapres] and Lissy [PointeRose].. also I met that guy from storytellers that Jewel says do i know u to.. sorry I forgot your name..:( thank you SO much for that picture of Jewel.. wow its so nice! :)and I saw some EDAs inside.. i remember eric and mystic angel and i forgot the third one I'm sorry!! If you read this write back and tell me what your name is again.. anyway I also met Megan [mp0280].. adorable hat! awwww!! Anyway lemme skip to the good part.. when it was my turn to go up.. I just kinda froze in place! Jewel said to me "Come on" and was smiling.. so I walked up kinda shaky and I put my present for her on the table.. and 2 pictures that I drew of her.. and she said "Ooh What's this?", still smiling.. so I explained it a little to her.. and when I said "alaska" (telling her what the background was) her eyes just kinda lit up.. it was so cute and she said "do you want me to sign the pictures?" so I said no those are for you.. and i think she said okay or something and then my dad gave me the booklets and I told her to write happy birthday on the one for my dad cuz I was going to give it to him for his birthday (12/17). so then I showed her my shirt and I said I'm an EDA! and she said Ooohhhhh with a big smile "Can you tell them I said hi?" So I said okay and then I was about to walk away and I said WAIT.. "can i ask you something?" and she said "mhmmmm" and I said.. "i was at your concert on july 24th and I gave a sign I made for you to a security guard , it was green and I made pictures of you on it and there was a letter on the back, you don't remember it do you?" and then she said "No actually I do remember it!" and then the security guard started getting mad.. BTW the security guards were so horribly mean! Wow they just kept yelling for nothing.. Anyway, so then I got on the line again.. and I got her to sign a picture and write to Jade on my autograph.. I wanted to talk to her again LOL but the security guard told me that they were going to throw me out.. so as i was walking away she quickly drew a heart by her name.. aww, its kinda sideways though LOL cuz the security guard was like taking me away... and she made a sad face while they were making me leave well anyway they wouldn't allow any pictures .with Jewel but when she was signing one of the autographs.. I I waved to her and she looked at me so my dad snapped the picture while I was standing kinda near her.. anyway,my sister called up and she wanted to talk to Jewel.. so my dad started to give her the phone, and Jewel like reached out her hand, but the security guards said no, so she kinda made a sad face and said "sorry they wont let me :(".. but anyway.. someone gave me sometihng Jewel autographed and they said Jewel said to give this to the little girl with the black jacket.. lol i dont get that part cuz I already got a buncha stuff autographed.. but oh well thats just so cool! ahh :) that was so amazingly great.. when she was leaving downstairs I was gonna go over and say goodbye but security guards were standing near me and I got yelled at enough already! Anyway she is soo sweet.. I'm so happy I finally got to meet her, and does anyone know who that guy with her was?
