I must say it took a while to warm to this album mainly because of the subject matter of a lot of the songs: Christmas. For a non-Christian like myself it is a bit of a put-off, but then the magic of that supremely beautiful voice takes over. So now I enjoy listening to it. But I do have one (minor) complaint, not about the record but about the printed booklet that comes with it. As with all previous publications it contains a scattering of typographical errors. Maybe it's because my job it editing that I notice these little things that spoil the publication: it looks a bit sloppy. It would not be difficult to have all the copy proof-read before printing -- hell! I'd do it myself, and for love not money, but someone should do it. It was most notable this time in the two Latin songs. When you are publishing something in a foreign language you need to be particularly careful to get it right. But both have mistakes. So, for those of you who collect the lyrics to Jewel's songs, here are the correct versions of "Ave Maria" (as sung by Jewel) and "Gloria".
